摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable abase station and a user equipment (UE) to identify and respond to communications in accordance with one or more communications services. For example, the base station and the UE may support communications in accordance with a wireless communications standard (e.g., third generation partnership project (3GPP) standard), in addition to supporting an additional communications service including one or more proprietary features. In some cases, the UE may transmit an indication to the base station, or the base station may otherwise determine, that the UE supports the proprietary features. Further, the base station may assign and transmit a unique radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) to the UE for the additional communications service (e.g., a proprietary RNTI). Accordingly, the UE and the base station may identify and use the proprietary RNTI when transmitting, receiving, decoding, and responding to proprietary communications messages.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a transmitting device may identify a Radio Link Control (RLC) service data unit (SDU) to be transmitted to a receiving device. In some cases, the transmitting device may not have access to sufficient resources to transmit the entire RLC SDU. As such, the transmitting device may segment the RLC SDU into RLC SDU segments, and the transmitting device may transmit the RLC SDU segments to the receiving device. If an RLC layer at the receiving device receives one or more RLC SDU segments out of sequence, the RLC layer may initiate a reassembly (or reordering) timer. The RLC layer may reassemble the successfully received RLC SDU segments to be passed to upper layers. Once the timer expires, the RLC layer may declare that the missing RLC SDU segments are lost.

In some aspects, a user equipment concurrently communicates with a source base station (BS) and a target BS on a connection with the source BS and a connection with the target BS as part of a make-before-break (MBB) handover procedure; and performs a common packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) function for the connection with the source BS and the connection with the target BS before the connection with the source BS is released as part of the MBB handover procedure. 摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are described for routing modification based on handover detection in UEs and network equipment. According to the principles of the present specification, communication between a User Equipment (UE) and a network equipment may be established over a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT, and a coupling between the first RAT and the second RAT may be identified in the communication between the UE and the network equipment. A handover event associated with at least one of the RATs may be identified, and network traffic routing may be adapted based at least in part on the identified handover event and the coupling between the first RAT and the second RAT.

摘要: Techniques are described for managing QoS parameters of a bearer for which at least a portion of bearer data is served over a WLAN radio access technology. According to these techniques, a first device may identify a first set of one or more QoS parameters for serving a bearer over a wireless wide area network (WWAN). The first device may also determine a second set of one or more QoS parameters for serving the bearer over the WLAN based on an association between the first set of QoS parameters and the second set of one or more QoS parameters.

摘要: Systems and techniques are disclosed for selecting service-specific cells that considers additional information about service availability at the cells. A base station stores service availability information in system information. A UE searching for a service-specific cell on which to camp receives the system information with service availability. The UE analyzes its service requirements against the service availability as well as measured radio conditions and selects a cell that enables service-specific support on which to camp. When a change occurs to availability of the service support at the base station, it notifies the camped UE of the change and the UE obtains the changed system information to determine whether to reselect a different cell on which to camp. When a service-specific cell is not available, the UE may select a suitable cell for normal service and periodically perform cell reselection in an attempt to again camp on a service-specific cell.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for interworking between legacy and next generation radio access technologies (RATs) in a communication network. In some examples, a handover from a next generation access network to a legacy access network may be performed via a next generation core network and a legacy core network. A handover request received at a next generation core network serving node may include an identifier of a target cell within the legacy access network. The next generation core network serving node may identify a legacy core network serving node to which the handover may be forwarded based on the target cell identifier. Packet data units may then be routed over the legacy access network and the next generation core network by mapping data flows in the next generation core network to packet data connections in the legacy access network.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support multi-connectivity for a user equipment (UE) with multiple distributed units (DUs) under one central unit (CU), the DUs and the CU belonging to a base station. The UE may establish radio resource control (RRC) connections with multiple cell groups corresponding to multiple DUs under the CU. The UE may transmit measurement reports that provide measurement information for cells in proximity to the UE. The UE may maintain a set of active cell groups and a set of inactive cell groups. In some cases, one or more cell groups may be identified as controlling cell groups used to transmit control information. In some examples, the UE may replicate an uplink packets and transmit the uplink packet and replicates on multiple cell groups. In some cases, the UE may aggregate an uplink transmission among multiple cell groups.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish connectivity to a local area network using cellular radio access technology (RAT). The UE may establish a signaling radio link with a cellular access node (AN) via a cellular RAT. The UE may transmit a connectivity request to a network node via the signaling radio link. The connectivity request may specify a connectivity type for establishing connectivity to a LAN. Based at least in part on an acceptance of the connectivity request, the UE may establish a data radio link with the cellular AN. In an example, the acceptance of the connectivity request may include at least one parameter for configuring the connectivity to the LAN. The UE may then establish a data flow for exchanging data link layer packets with the LAN via the data radio link.
