    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for generating and communicating reference signals. Certain aspects provide a method for communicating reference signals. The method includes selecting a reference sequence of a plurality of reference sequences to transmit in a cell in a synchronization signal block (SSB) based at least on a logical value, wherein the logical value is determined based on a SSB index indicating a location of the SSB within a set of resources of a plurality of sets of resources and at least one of a cell ID of the cell, a set index indicating a location of the set of resources within the plurality of sets of resources, or a second value based on system information corresponding to the cell; and transmitting the selected reference sequence in the SSB.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for scheduling multiple types of uplink grants for a single user equipment to support different types of service with different traffic patterns and quality of service (QoS) requirements. In some aspects of the disclosure, the user equipment may be configured with uplink grants for different types of semi-persistent scheduling, along with a dynamic uplink grant. In some examples, the different types of semi-persistent scheduling may include dedicated semi-persistent scheduling and contention-based semi-persistent scheduling.

    Abstract: Aspects related to pre-configuring for a serving cell change to neighbor cells are described. In one example, a user equipment (UE) may camp on a first cell. The UE may receive at least one communication including target cell pre-configuration information for one or more neighbor cells eligible for pre-configuration. The UE may determine that the first cell is no longer providing adequate service and identify a target cell, which may be one of the one or more neighbor cells, but is not part of an active set for the UE. The UE may transmit a message (e.g., Event 1d) requesting a serving cell change to the target cell. The UE may configure to receive service from the target cell based on the pre-configuration information associated with the target cell. The UE may receive an indication to perform the serving cell change and perform the serving cell change.
