    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses described herein provide a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate hopping function that reduces collisions between PDCCH candidates, particularly between PDCCH candidates associated with reduced capability user equipment (UE). For example, the hopping function may be implemented as part of a PDCCH candidate to control channel element (CCE) function or may be applied separately from the PDCCH candidate to CCE function. The hopping function may reduce persistent collisions between PDCCH candidates by correlating the mapping behavior with a value that changes over time. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide signaling for configuration and activation/deactivation/modification of the hopping pattern. Thus, collisions between PDCCH candidates are reduced, thereby conserving computing resources and wireless communication resources. Furthermore, the reduction of collisions may improve performance of UEs with reduced PDCCH capabilities, such as reduced-capability UEs. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The UE receives an uplink (UL) cancellation indication (ULCI) from a network entity cancelling resources assigned to the UE for UL transmission and indicating the UE to measure cross-link interference (CLI) from one or more other UEs within the cancelled resources. The UE measures the CLI from the one or more other UEs based on the ULCI. The UE sends a CLI measurement report based on the measured CLI to the network entity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive signaling from a base station that includes an indication of a configuration for measuring cross-link interference (CLI) and an indication of a reference subcarrier spacing (SCS). The configuration may be associated with a slot having more than 14 symbols and may indicate a resource allocation that includes a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource, a CLI resource, or both. The UE may use the SRS resource to measure an SRS and may use the CLI resource to measure a received signal strength indicator (RSSI). The UE may measure the SRS and the RSSI according to the reference SCS. The UE may determine a CLI level based on measuring the SRS, the RSSI, or both. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a report including an indication of the determined CLI level.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first system information message including an indication of a resource configuration for a control resource set (CORESET) from a base station. The CORESET may include a common search space for a downlink control information (DCI) message that schedules a second system information message. The UE may identify a set of parameters from multiple sets of parameters for the CORESET based on the indication received in the first system information message and the UE being a first type of UE. The set of parameters may be different from a second set of parameters for the CORESET associated with a second type of UE different from the first type of UE. The UE may receive, in the CORESET according to the identified set of parameters, the DCI message scheduling the second system information message.

    Abstract: In a wireless network, a user equipment (UE) may skip an uplink transmission associated with a dynamic uplink grant. In such cases, when the UE skips an uplink transmission that would have been concurrent with a downlink transmission, the UE may perform one or more mode-dependent control operations. For example, because the uplink transmission would result in a full-duplex operation if the UE were to perform the uplink transmission, the UE may reset a timer associated with switching from a full-duplex mode to a half-duplex mode and/or perform one or more mode-dependent control operations in the full-duplex mode. Alternatively, because the UE refrains from performing the uplink transmission that would have resulted in a full-duplex operation, the UE may maintain the timer associated with switching from the full-duplex mode to the half-duplex mode and/or perform the one or more mode-dependent control operations in the half-duplex mode.
