Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a UE capability to receive a first portion of a tracking reference signal (TRS) and a second portion of the TRS, the first portion and the second portion associated with a TRS pattern. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of the TRS pattern, where the TRS pattern includes the first portion of the TRS pattern and the second portion of the TRS pattern. The UE may receive one or more TRSs according to the first portion of the TRS pattern and the second portion of the TRS pattern.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating cross-carrier beam association are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a UE includes receiving, from a base station, an indication of a cross-carrier beam association associated with a first carrier and a second carrier different than the first carrier. The example method also includes determining an association between a first set of beams of the first carrier and a second set of beams of the second carrier based on the indication of the cross-carrier beam association. Additionally, the example method includes receiving on the first set of beams and the second set of beams based on the determined cross-carrier beam association.

The MPUE may transmit, from the active first panel to a base station, a status indicating that the second panel is active. The MPUE may transmit, after an activation time, an uplink transmission from the second panel to the base station.

Abstract: Certain aspects provide enhancements to enable per transmission reception point (per-TRP) based beam failure recovery (BFR), and more particularly, techniques for configuring physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) BFR for TRP specific BFR. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes communicating with at least two TRPs using beams associated with at least two beam groups, each of the beams groups associated with one of the TRPs, detecting a beam failure in a beam group of the at least two beam groups, transmitting a beam group specific BFR scheduling request (SR), in accordance with one or more rules, for an uplink (UL) grant to transmit a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) specific to the beam group in which the beam failure was detected, receiving the UL grant in response to the SR, and transmitting the BFRQ specific to the beam group based on the UL grant.

Abstract: Systems and methods establishing and maintain a direct User Equipment to User Equipment communication link are disclosed. A User Equipment (UE) may receive a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) from a neighboring UE. The UE may determine from the SRS that the UE is a good candidate for a direct link. The UE may also determine from the SRS an ID associated with the neighboring UE. The UE may send a direct link request to the UE serving gNB. The serving gNB may forward the request to a gNB serving the neighboring UE. The gNBs may negotiate a joint schedule for a beam a UE to UE beam search. The beam search may be conducted using SRS resources. The results of the beam search may be sent to the gNB and the gNB may determine a beam pair for a direct link.

A user equipment (UE) may determine, during a multi-slot downlink transmission, that a mapping from a transmission configuration information (TCI) state index to a first TCI state configuration has changed to a second TCI state configuration. The UE may select, based at least in part on the determined change, the first TCI state configuration or the second TCI state configuration to use for at least a portion of the multi-slot downlink transmission. The UE may receive the multi-slot downlink transmission during one or more slots according to the selected TCI state configuration and the TCI state index.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable base station and a user equipment (UE) to mitigate interference when using full-duplex communications. For example, a base station communicating with a UE via full-duplex communications may indicate for the UE to align the time of its uplink transmissions with the time the UE receives downlink transmissions. Additionally or alternatively, the base station may indicate a timing alignment window for the UE, where the window may consist of an allowed time period the UE may use to select a time to begin uplink transmissions. In some examples, the base station may select a cyclic prefix for full-duplex communications, where the cyclic prefix may be longer than a cyclic prefix used for other communications. Further, the base station may select uplink frequency and downlink frequency bands separated by a defined guard band for full-duplex communications.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to mechanisms for transmitting and receiving reference signals in a high-speed train (HST) single frequency network (SFN). A base station (BS) determines a first frequency pre-compensation value for a reference signal transmitted via a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second frequency pre-compensation value for a reference signal via a second TRP. The BS notifies a user equipment (UE) of the first and second pre-compensation values through at least one of the TRPs. The BS applies the first pre-compensation value to the reference signal via the first TRP and the second pre-compensation value to the reference signal via the second TRP. The UE adjusts its tracking loop for the reference signal based on the pre-compensation values, reducing estimation and/or search overhead at the UE.
