摘要: An integrated fluidized bed ash cooler for a fluidized bed boiler, particularly a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler, employs at least two fluidized bed sections positioned in series along a solids flow path. Each section contains fluidizing means, the first section along the solids path being separated from a following section with a threshold. The first section contains means for measuring a bed temperature in the vicinity of the fluidizing means and at a higher elevation within the fluidized bed. Means are provided for removing oversized bed material from the first section to facilitate the removal of ash while minimizing the possibility of ash plugging during operation.

摘要: A method for billable timekeeping using a computer is described. The method comprises generating a time input window corresponding to an event for receiving and recording a start time and an end time for the event against an identifier; comparing the start time and end time of the event with the start time and end time of another event for the identifier; and, generating a conflict resolution input window for selection of a conflict resolution option in the event of an overlap in duration between the event and the another event. Various different options exist for resolving the conflict by adjusting the start time or end time for one or both the event or the another event, truncation of the event or the other event to remove the conflict or distributing the overlap in duration between the event and the another event to remove the conflict.

摘要: A method for completing a well in a single trip is described, which includes inserting a completion tool assembly into the wellbore. The completion tool assembly includes a gravel packing assembly having a central channel substantially therethrough and a service tool assembly slidably positioned within the central channel. The service tool includes a pressure pulsating rotating jetting tool, connectable to a washpipe via a differential valve. By selectively dropping a plurality of plugging devices into the completion tool, multiple operations may be selectively performed in the wellbore in a single trip. In this way, the gravel packing and stimulating operations may be performed by a single completion tool assembly in a single trip into the wellbore, thus reducing the cost and time for performing the gravel packing and stimulating operations.

摘要: An inert impingement surface that is pliable and which, when set in motion, works to shed itself of particle deposits. The pliable surface may be formed of a plurality of coactive members that co-operate with one another to clean-off the particle deposits from each other's surfaces. The coactive members may be in the form of chains, rods, cables, wires, granular inert materials such as gravel or metal balls or other impact means. The pliable surface may also be formed of a heat-resistant material which is caused to experience a continuing shape change, thereby casting-off the particle deposits adhering to the surface.

摘要: Product attrition by dusting of granular and shaped activated carbons is disclosed to be reduced significantly, or essentially eliminated, by the application of a thin, continuous polymer coating on the granular or shaped activated carbon, without a reduction in adsorption velocity, packing density, or volumetric capacity of the activated carbon when used in fluid stream filters for removing contaminants. The avoidance of carbon dust and the maintenance of the carbon particle packing density lead to improved fluid stream filter performance in contaminant removal.
