摘要： An electrical connector for terminating the conductors of an electrical cable and including a terminal receiving body having a front mating end and a rear conductor receiving end. A flexible strain relief boot is disposed about at least a portion of the cable at the rear conductor receiving end of the terminal receiving body. The strain relief boot includes a plurality of discrete recesses which progressively increase in size in a rearward direction to increase the flexibility of the strain relief boot progressively toward the rear thereof. The discrete recesses also are more closely spaced in a progressive manner rearwardly of the boot. A coupling ring surrounds the terminal receiving body, and a visual indicating ring is hidden by the coupling ring when in an inactive position, the visual indicating ring being exposed when the coupling ring is in a mating position thereby to visually indicate a mating condition of the connector and the visual indicating ring providing for omnidirectional visualization thereof. The coupling ring extends rearwardly beyond a termination interface between the terminal receiving body and the conductors to provide a rigidifying support thereabout.

摘要： In combination with a golf club holder, sometimes referred to as a golf bag, an alarm system reminds golfers when golf clubs are missing from the golf bag. The alarm system includes a plurality of signaling devices which can be light emitting diodes. The golf bag includes a plurality of stations into which the golf club shafts fit grip first. Each station includes a switch, the switches being electrically connected in parallel to a source of electricity. The switches are biased to such a position that the signaling device is energized when a golf club is withdrawn from the station and de-energized when the golf club is returned. The LED display may be mounted on the golf bag or may be connected to an extension cord to be mounted in the front of a golf cart.

摘要： A method of forming successive metal layers of varying widths on a substrate is disclosed. A mask having a through going aperture is provided, the mask including a constricted neck portion between its upper and lower surfaces. Successive metal layers are applied over the substrate through the aperture in the mask sequentially by sputtering methods which form a metallic layer wider than the constricted neck portion of the mask and by vapor deposition method which forms a narrower metal layer corresponding to the transverse dimension of the constricted portion of the mask.

摘要： A backshell sealing arrangement adapted to make an environmental seal with a variety of frontshell configurations is provided. The backshell includes a generally cylindrical rigid outer shell having a coupling portion with internal threads adapted to engage external threads adjacent the cable end of a plug and receptcle-type connector frontshell. A shoulder is provided in the backshell radially inward of the internal threads and adjacent the coupling portion having a surface which faces the frontshell cable end. A recess is provided radially between the shoulder and an external wall of the backshell. A ring-like resilient gasket of rectangular cross-section elongated in a radial direction is disposed in the backshell such that the outer radial portions of the gasket are received in the recess and the inner axial portions of the gasket are supported on the surface of the shoulder. In mated condition, the arrangement provides an environmental seal with frontshells having smooth or serrated, thin walled or thick walled cable ends, regardless of whether inserts carried in the frontshell are flush or recessed at the cable entry end.

摘要： The invention relates to a power entry module for supplying power from an outside source to equipment with which the power entry module is in association. The module is made up of a one piece housing divided into at least two compartments with a first compartment having means housed therein for connection to an outside power source. A second compartment includes respective fuse clips for use with different size fuses for routing power from the outside power supply through the fuses and into the equipment requiring the power. A voltage card enables selection of the outside power supply within predetermined ranges and converts the incoming voltage to that required by the equipment depending upon the position of the card. A cover is hinged to the housing and when in closed position with an outside power supply plugged into the power entry module, has means for preventing opening of the cover to prevent access to the fuse compartment to avoid the danger of shock. When it is an open condition without a plug plugged into the power entry module, it prevents such a plug from being plugged in and thus, maintains the contacts of the fuse clip in neutral position thereby avoiding the danger of shock to a user of the device.

摘要： A process and apparatus for mixing at least two parenteral solutions, sterilizing the resulting mixture, and transferring the sterilized mixture into an extensible, plastic receiving bag. The apparatus includes a mixing chamber into which the solutions can be delivered, a bacterial organism retentive filter for sterilizing the mixture of the solutions received from the chamber, such a receiving bag, tubing for transferring each of the solutions to be chamber, and second tubing for transferring the sterilized mixture from the filter to the bag. All are combined and then sterilized as a unit. In one embodiment of the invention, the bag is placed in a vacuum chamber to facilitate transfer of the mixture through the apparatus and the mixing chamber has a baffle or system of baffles for creating turbulence in the solutions while they are being mixed. The diameter and length of each tubing leading into the chamber from a solution holding container is preselected with respect to the viscosity of the solution in that holding container, so that both solutions reach the chamber at the same time or in a selected order and are mixed in an equal or preselected proportion therein.
