摘要: A method for activating/deactivating secondary carriers of a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation is provided. The method comprises, receiving a control message including an activation/deactivation Control Element (CE) in a first sub-frame from a Base station, identifying an activation command or a deactivation command of at least one secondary carrier based on the control message, determining whether a current sub-frame is a second sub-frame or not, performing at least one first operation for the at least one secondary carrier in a second sub-frame, and performing, when the activation/deactivation CE indicates deactivation of the at least one secondary carrier, at least one second operation for the at least one secondary carrier no later than the second sub-frame.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for codebook design and signaling are provided. A user equipment (UE) apparatus for codebook design and signaling includes a processor and a transceiver operably connected to the processor. The transceiver is configured to receive configuration information for a channel state information (CSI) process, receive configuration information for a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resource; receive configuration information for a MIMO type; and receive a plurality of codebook parameters when the MIMO type is non-precoded. A base station (BS) apparatus for codebook design and signaling includes a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The processor is configured to configure a UE with a CSI process and a CSI-RS resource, configure the UE with a MIMO type, and cause the transceiver to transmit configuration information for the CSI process, the CSI-RS resource, and the MIMO type to the UE.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for performing random access and uplink transmission of a User Equipment (UE) supporting Carrier Aggregation (CA) are provided. The method includes determining whether a Scheduling Request (SR) is pending, determining, when the SR is pending, whether an uplink transmission resource is available in a current Transmission Time Interval (TTI), determining, when the uplink transmission resource is not available, whether a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource is configured for transmission of the SR, and initiating, when the PUCCH resource is not configured, a random access process in a primary cell. The random access method and apparatus of the present invention is advantageous to reduce the waste of transmission resources.

摘要: User equipment (UE) is configured to receive two types of channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RS), the first containing more antenna ports and measured less often than the second. A first CSI report is based on first type CSI-RS and a second CSI report on the second type CSI-RS. The second type CSI-RS is at least partially precoded in response to the first CSI report, is precoded for the specific UE, and is transmitted more often than the first type CSI-RS, while the first type CSI-RS is not precoded. The first CSI report contains a first precoding matrix indicator (PMI) parameter and the second CSI report contains only a second PMI parameter of a two-PMI codebook, where the first PMI parameter is a long-term and wideband PMI. The first PMI is derived from measuring the first type CSI-RS in a plurality of subframes and resource blocks.

摘要: A method of user equipment (UE) for random access operation in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), random access channel (RACH) configuration information including RACH chunk information corresponding to at least one antenna beam including a beam identifier (ID), determining a RACH chunk based on the RACH configuration information received from the BS, transmitting, to the BS, a RACH preamble on the determined RACH chunk according to the RACH configuration information associated with the beam ID, and receiving, from the BS, a RACH response (RAR) corresponding to the transmitted RACH preamble and a downlink channel for a RAR transmission, wherein a random access-radio network temporary identification (RA-RNTI) is calculated based on an index of a slot and an index of the RACH chunk on which the RACH preamble is transmitted.

The method also includes communicating D2D resource allocation information to the first UE. The method also includes communicating D2D resource allocation information by the first UE to multiple UEs; and transmitting D2D data by the first UE to multiple UEs. Methods for configuring and signaling D2D communication resources by relay or out-of-coverage UEs are also provided.

The processing circuitry is configured to: send and receive data through the at least one antenna, in response to failing to decode a transport block transmitted by a first downlink carrier, transmit a negative acknowledgement message to the base station, and receive a re-transmission of the transport block from a second downlink carrier. The first downlink carrier comprises a unlicensed spectrum carrier and the second downlink carrier is different from the first downlink carrier.
