    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for codebook design and signaling are provided. A user equipment (UE) apparatus for codebook design and signaling includes a processor and a transceiver operably connected to the processor. The transceiver is configured to receive configuration information for a channel state information (CSI) process, receive configuration information for a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resource; receive configuration information for a MIMO type; and receive a plurality of codebook parameters when the MIMO type is non-precoded. A base station (BS) apparatus for codebook design and signaling includes a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The processor is configured to configure a UE with a CSI process and a CSI-RS resource, configure the UE with a MIMO type, and cause the transceiver to transmit configuration information for the CSI process, the CSI-RS resource, and the MIMO type to the UE.

    摘要: User equipment (UE) is configured to receive two types of channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RS), the first containing more antenna ports and measured less often than the second. A first CSI report is based on first type CSI-RS and a second CSI report on the second type CSI-RS. The second type CSI-RS is at least partially precoded in response to the first CSI report, is precoded for the specific UE, and is transmitted more often than the first type CSI-RS, while the first type CSI-RS is not precoded. The first CSI report contains a first precoding matrix indicator (PMI) parameter and the second CSI report contains only a second PMI parameter of a two-PMI codebook, where the first PMI parameter is a long-term and wideband PMI. The first PMI is derived from measuring the first type CSI-RS in a plurality of subframes and resource blocks.

    摘要: A method of user equipment (UE) for random access operation in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), random access channel (RACH) configuration information including RACH chunk information corresponding to at least one antenna beam including a beam identifier (ID), determining a RACH chunk based on the RACH configuration information received from the BS, transmitting, to the BS, a RACH preamble on the determined RACH chunk according to the RACH configuration information associated with the beam ID, and receiving, from the BS, a RACH response (RAR) corresponding to the transmitted RACH preamble and a downlink channel for a RAR transmission, wherein a random access-radio network temporary identification (RA-RNTI) is calculated based on an index of a slot and an index of the RACH chunk on which the RACH preamble is transmitted.
