    摘要： A PS plate comprises an aluminum plate which is surface-roughened and then anodized so that the amount of an anodized layer formed is not less than 1.0 g/m.sup.2 ; a hydrophilic layer which is applied onto the anodized layer and which comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of:(A) substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic or aromatic phosphonic acids having one or two phosphonic acid residues in the molecule and salts thereof; and(B) substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic or aromatic phosphinic acids having one or two phosphinic acid residues in the molecule and salts thereof,wherein the substituent of the compounds (A) and (B) being at least one member selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, carboxyl, alkyl, aryl, allyl, acyl, acyloxy, nitro and cyano groups and halogen atoms; and a layer of a positive-working light-sensitive composition formed on the hydrophilic layer.The present PS plate can provide, after development, a lithographic printing plate which has a low degree of remaining color stain on the non-image area, is free of background contamination and shows excellent printing durability.

    摘要： A method for making lithographic printing plates which comprises imagewise exposing a presensitized plate for use in making lithographic printing plates to light, then developing and thereafter subjecting the developed plate to burning-in pretreatment, the method characterized in that the burning-in pretreatment is performed after applying, to the developed plate, an aqueous solution containing at least one organic solvent whose solubility in water at 25.degree. C. is not less than 0.5% by weight and whose surface tension measured on 0.5% by weight distilled water solution at 25.degree. C. is not more than 65 dyn/cm. The method can provide lithographic printing plates free of greasing, ink spreading on half-dot image portions, in particular shadow portions and excellent in ink receptivity of image areas. In addition, the method can be automated by making use of a spray-circulation type processing apparatus.

The oil seal comprises an annular supporting member supported within the fixed structure of the device and an annular elastic sealing member disposed in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft in such a manner as to allow relative sliding rotation therebetween. The annular supporting member has a peripheral supporting portion with a cup-shaped section taken along a plane including the axis of the rotary shaft, and the cup-shaped section opens to the outside of the device in the axial direction thereof. The annular elastic sealing member is fixed to an annular, radially-inwardly projecting portion of the annular supporting member.

    摘要： A light-sensitive composition comprises at least one polyuretane resin having repeating unit represented by formula (I) and/or repeating unit represented by formula (II) and which is insoluble in water and soluble in aqueous alkaline solution; and at least one positive-working light-sensitive compound: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a bivalent aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon which may have a substituent; R.sub.2 represents hydrogen atom or an alkyl, an aralkyl, an aryl, an alkoxy or an aryloxy group which may be substituted with a substituent; R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 may be the same or different and independently represent a single bond or a bivalent aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent and Ar represents a trivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent. The composition has good coating properties and makes it possible to impart excellent wear resistance and printing durability to the resultant light-sensitive products such as PS plates, print-circuit boards, photomasks and the like.
