摘要: In a method of and apparatus for split photometry, a plurality of split photometric areas are established by setting a plurality of horizontal and vertical photometric intervals respectively within intervals in a horizontal scanning direction and a vertical scanning direction of the solid-state electronic image sensing device. An extracted luminance-signal component is integrated over a horizontal integration interval designated by an integration control signal. Integrated values obtained by the integration operation are summed, in every split photometric area, over the corresponding vertical photometric interval, and a photometric value is calculated for every split photometric area based upon the value obtained by summing the integrated values in another embodiment, data for controlling exposure or controlling the focusing of an image pick-up lens can be obtained for each of a plurality of blocks set in a photographic area. From data representing the image of a subject, a luminance signal is generated and converted into digital luminance data which is applied to a gate array. The luminance data is summed block by block in the gate array and the summed data is outputted in block units. Only the necessary data is selected from the summed luminance data of every block and a photometric value is calculated. A diaphragm and an electronic shutter is controlled based upon the photometric value calculated. A high-frequency component signal for focusing control can be calculated for each and every block in a similar manner.

摘要: Nuclear reactor and nuclear reactor cooling facilities, and also a nuclear power generation plant and a method of its operation are disclosed. The reliability of cooling function at the time of anticipated accidents is substantially improved through enhancing a cooling efficiency of the gas in the reactor container without resorting to any particular active means. Guide structure is provided for circulating the gas present in the reactor container so as to accelerate heat removal therefrom to the outside through the surface of the reactor container. The arrangement includes an internal structure for retaining a coolant in the reactor container; and upper space portion disposed over the internal structure; a first gas flow passage for directing downward the gas present in the above upper space portion; and a second gas flow passage connecting the first gas flow passage with the upper space portion. Further, circulation structure is provided for circulating the gas in the above reactor container through utilization of the decay heat of the core. By means of the natural circulation through the wet well vapor phase including the upper space portion, with nitrogen gas (N.sub.2) rendered ubiquitous in the wet well vapor phase portion thereby the gas temperature being evenly distributed, it is possible to substantially improve the core decay heat removal efficiency in the reactor container by air cooling.

摘要: An electrocardiograph has an R wave detector for detecting an R wave out of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal being collected from a subject. When the R wave detector detects an R wave, a heart rate and an ST value of the ECG signal are written to a storage which is assigned to heart rates and ST values in synchronism with the R wave. When the subject presses an event switch on feeling a subjective symptom, the waveform of the ECG signal is written to another storage which is assigned to waveforms. The electrocardiograph records a minimum necessary amount of information for screening, i.e., the heart rates, ST values, and waveforms of ECG signal associated with subjective symptoms. The electrocardiograph is, therefore, miniature and easy to carry while reducing the period of time necessary for analysis.

摘要: A recording method wherein electrostatic atomization of a liquid is applied to the phenomenon that when a coloring material solution holding member is partly immersed in a solution of coloring material, the solution juts up from the surface thereof in accordance with the affinity of the material of the coloring material solution holding member with the solution. The coloring material solution holding member is formed of an insulating material and has strips of a conductive material arranged in spaced relation on opposite surfaces of the member in such a manner that the strips of the conductive material on opposite surfaces thereof are disposed in staggered relation. The conductive material is of the type which has high affinity with a particular solution of coloring material. The coloring material solution holding member of the aforesaid construction is used as recording electrode medium which is partly immersed in the solution of coloring material in a manner to form a certain angle with the surface of the solution. A complementary electrode having a copy sheet maintained in contact therewith and moving in one direction relative to the surface of the solution is arranged in spaced superposed relation to the coloring material solution holding member serving as recording electrode, and signal voltage pulses are impressed between the two electrode whereby an image can be recorded by virtue of the electrostatic atomization phenomenon of the solution of coloring material occurring at the surface of the solution of coloring material.

摘要: A wet type direct image recording method an apparatus wherein an ink/image is formed directly on a surface treated recording material by passing the recording material between an image signal voltage applying electrode and an ink supplier device. The surface of the ink supplier device has depressions in its surface layer, which permit capillarity of the ink, thereby the ink is held in the surface layer of the ink supplier device, and at least either of the ink and the surface layer of the ink supplier device is electrically conductive so that the ink or the ink supplier device serves as a counter electrode for the image signal voltage applying electrode. The ink in the depressions is easily attracted electrostatically to the surface of the recording material when an electric field is formed between the image signal voltage applying electrode and the ink or the ink supplier device since the surface tension of the ink is reduced significantly by the electric field.
