    摘要: A mass spectrometer having an ion source section capable of creating positive ions and negative ions at high efficiency. The ion source is comprised of an ion source section for creating ions of a sample gas, a mass spectrometric section for conducting mass separation of created ions, linear RF generating multipole electrodes, magnetic fields generation means, a sample gas introduction system, a reaction gas introduction system and an electron source in which the linear RF generating multipole electrodes generate linear RF multipole electric fields. A static magnetic fields is applied in parallel on the center axis where the linear RF multipole electric fields are zero. A sample gas and a reagent gas are introduced into the ion source section. Electrons are injected for creating reaction of the positive ions or negative ions.

    摘要: An electron capture dissociation device to implement a combination of electron capture dissociation and collision dissociation and a mass spectrometer with the use thereof are provided. This device includes a linear ion trap provided with linear multipole electrodes applied with a radio frequency electric field and wall electrodes that are arranged on both ends in the axis direction of the linear multipole electrodes, have holes on the central axis thereof, and generate a wall electric field by being applied with a direct-current voltage, a cylindrical magnetic field-generating unit that generates a magnetic field parallel to the central axis of the linear multipole electrodes and surrounds the linear ion trap, and an electron source arranged opposite to the linear multipole electrodes with sandwiching one of the wall electrodes. The electron generation site of the electron source is placed in the inside of the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field-generating unit.

    摘要: The present invention provides a mass spectrometry capable of high-efficiency and high-throughput ECD. An electron source and a two-dimensional combined ion trap in which a magnetic field along and generally parallel to a central axis is applied are used, thereby to achieve the foregoing object. First, precursor ions are trapped. By adopting the two-dimensional combined ion trap, it is possible to obtain a high ion trapping efficiency upon being injected and trapping. Subsequently, electrons are made incident thereon in such a manner as to be wound along the central axis to which no radio frequency is applied by using a magnetic field. For this reason, it is possible to allow energy-controlled electrons to reach the precursor ions. It is possible to implement a mass spectrometer capable of avoiding heating due to a radio frequency electric field, and effecting high-throughput/high-efficiency ECD.

    摘要: There is provided an ion trap mass spectrometer which can detect fragment ions having a low mass and enables high-sensitivity measurement. A mass spectrometer has an ion source generating sample ions; an ion trap having a pair of and endcap electrodes and a ring electrode and accumulating ions generated by the ion source and isolating precursor ions from the accumulated ion and dissociating the isolated precursor ions and ejecting the dissociated ions from the ion trap. A gas introduction hole is arranged in the endcap electrode or the ring electrode for introducing in intermittently-introduced bath gas therethrough into the ion trap. A detector detects the ions ejected from the ion trap. The center axis of the gas introduction hole is arranged so as to pass through a region near the center of gravity of the ion trap.
