摘要: A fixing device includes a heat roller, a fuser member, an endless belt, a pressure member, a first rotation transmitter, a second rotation transmitter, a rotation sensor, a controller, a first biasing member, and a second biasing member. The heat roller is rotatable around a rotational axis thereof while subjected to induction heating. The fuser member is disposed parallel to the heat roller. The endless belt is looped for rotation around the heat roller and the fuser member. The pressure member is disposed opposite the fuser member via the endless belt. The first rotation transmitter is connected to the rotational axis of the heat roller to rotate around a rotational axis thereof upon rotation of the heat roller. The second rotation transmitter engages the first rotation transmitter to rotate around a rotational axis thereof upon rotation of the first rotation transmitter.

摘要: This invention provides a video quality estimation apparatus (1) including a packet analysis unit (10) that derives the bit rate of an encoded video packet contained in an input packet, and the bit amount of the encoded video packet for each encoded video frame type, a video subset frame characteristic estimation unit (11) that derives the frame characteristic of each video frame type from the bit rate derived by the packet analysis unit (10), and an encoding quality estimation unit (12) that derives, based on the bit rate and the bit amount of each video frame type, a video quality value quantitatively representing the quality of encoded video data that is affected by encoding degradation. The video quality estimation apparatus performs more accurate video quality estimation by taking account of the bit amount of each video frame type.

摘要: A video quality objective assessment device includes a temporal/spatial feature amount derivation unit (12) which derives a temporal/spatial feature amount (PC) which is the feature amount of deterioration which has occurred in a deteriorated video signal (PI), from the deteriorated video signal (PI) to be assessed and a reference video signal (RI) which is a signal before deterioration of the deteriorated video signal, and a subjective quality estimation unit (14) which weights the temporal/spatial feature amount (PC) according to the relationship between the deteriorated video obtained in advance and the user subjective assessment value, thereby estimating the subjective quality (Y) of the deteriorated video signal (PI). Thus, it is possible to estimate a video subjective quality even when deterioration occurs locally in the video in the temporal/spatial direction.

摘要: A subjective quality estimating part (11) receives an undeteriorated reference video signal (RI) and a deteriorated video signal (PI) produced from the reference video signal, calculates video signal feature values for both the signals, and according to a difference between the calculated video signal feature values of the signals, estimates a subjective quality of the deteriorated video signal. A feature value calculating part (12) calculates the video signal feature values of the reference video signal. A correction information storing part (13) stores correction information that corresponds to video signal feature values and is used to correct the subjective quality. A correction calculating part (14) receives the video signal feature values of the reference video signal from the feature value calculating part (12), retrieves correction information corresponding to the received video signal feature values from the correction information storing part (13), and transfers the retrieved correction information to a correcting part (15). According to the transferred correction information, the correcting part (15) corrects the subjective quality estimated by the subjective quality estimating part (11).

摘要: A recess portion is formed in a substrate to accommodate a light emitting element so as to be sealed with a sealant. A light guide layer formed of a thin transparent resin film is fixed onto the substrate via an adhesive layer to realize an illuminating device with a thin structure. The light emitted from the light emitting element is irradiated into the light guide layer via the sealant and the adhesive layer. The light fully reflecting on the boundary surfaces between the light guide layer and the adhesive layer, and between the light guide layer and the air layer passes inside the light guide layer. Then the light which has not fully reflected leaks outside from the surface of the transparent resin film which forms the light guide layer. This makes it possible to illuminate the surface of the illumination device 1A entirely with brightness.

摘要: A device and a method for determining amounts of each of composition constituents necessary for giving a functional mixture functionality, without actual creation of the functional mixture, by varying the amounts in accordance with correlation coefficients between each of the composition constituents of previously obtained functional mixtures. The Mahalanobis distance for the amounts of N composition constituents, the Mahalanobis distance for the amounts of N-1 composition constituents from which one of the constituents is excluded, and the difference therebetween are calculated. The amount of composition constituent whose exclusion corresponds to the largest such difference is varied and the Mahalanobis distance is calculated again. Amounts of composition constituents for which the Mahalanobis distance is a minimum are selected as the amounts of the composition constituents for the functional mixture.
