摘要: Such a displaying device that can be easily operated by aged persons and handicapped persons, and an image forming apparatus using the same will be provided. Upon continuously operating an upper button for the predetermined period of time, a set value of a magnification is changed at intervals of numeric change that are different from each other between a voice guide mode activated by a voice guide button and a normal mode. At this time, it is configured in such a manner that the interval of numeric change for the normal mode is smaller than the interval of numeric change for the voice guide mode, i.e., the changing rate of the set value of the magnification for the normal mode is larger than that for the voice guide mode.

摘要: A backlight driving circuit is controlled by a timing controller and executes on/off control of the backlights. The timing controller detects, using a synchronous signal, a change in a blank period which is of one frame period for display of one screen, during which the image signal is not transmitted. Upon detecting the change in the blank period, the timing controller adjusts the on-periods of the backlights in order to make the brightness of the backlights equal to one another. Consequently, the backlights have an equal brightness with one another in spite of the change in the blank period. This makes the lives of the backlights equal to one another. In a case where the plural backlights constitute a backlight unit, a reduction in life of the backlight unit is prevented. Further, it is also possible to prevent the brightness of the backlights from being differentiated even through a long-term use.

摘要: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material, to which a cartridge is detachably mountable. The cartridge includes portion for accommodating a developer for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic photosensitive member, a roller for developing the electrostatic latent image with the developer, an opening for supplying the developer to the developing roller from the developer accommodating portion, and a sealing member for unsealably sealing the developer supply opening. The apparatus includes a detector for detecting that amount of the developer deposited on a member to be detected is less than a predetermined level, a retractor for producing an electric signal for retracting the sealing member from a sealing position where the sealing member seals the developer supply opening, when the detector detects that amount of the developer deposited on the member to be detected is less than the predetermined level.

摘要: A voltage balancer device has a plurality of discharge paths. Each pair of the discharge paths correspond to each secondary battery unit. Each of a pair of the discharge paths has a resistance of a different value. Discharging the voltage of each secondary battery unit is at first performed through the discharge path of a smaller resistance value. The voltage balancer device switches the currently used discharge path to another discharge path having a large resistance value at the time the voltage of the secondary battery unit nearly equal a desired voltage.

摘要: Various settings are stored into a setting storage table for stop-key processing. These settings are related to a job kind where an operation is stopped by manipulating a stop key, a job kind where an operation is made to pause, and a job kind where an operation is continued without any interruption. When the stop key is manipulated, the job set to the stop operation is directly stopped, and the job set to the execution continuation is continuously executed. The jobs set to the pausing operations are displayed in a list. These jobs are selected one by one, or in a batch mode. Thereafter, either the stop operation or the restart operation is instructed. Accordingly, even under such an environment that a plurality of jobs are executed in a parallel manner; a desirable job can be quickly stopped, and moreover, lowering of throughputs of other jobs can be suppressed.

摘要: A door assembly of the type having a frame mounted to a wall. The frame comprises a head portion, opposed vertical jamb portions and a sill portion. Doors are provided in the frame. A door in the frame is displaceable between an open position and a closed position. The doors comprise a sash portion supporting a see-through panel. Each of the head portion, the jamb portion, the sill portion, and the sash portion of the door has one external cladding and one internal cladding. The external cladding and the internal cladding are detachably connected to one another, such that only the external cladding is exposed to an exterior of the door assembly and only the internal cladding is exposed to an interior of the door assembly when the door is in the closed position. A method for interconnecting two hollow elongated extruded sections of the door sash is also provided.

摘要: In a battery pack manager that manages series-connected rechargeable unit cells, a cell equalizer equalizes the cell voltages by individually discharging the unit cells according to deviations from reference voltages. An overcharge/overdischarge detector detects an overcharge and an overdischarge state of each unit cell. An inhibit circuit prevents the cell equalizer from discharging the unit cells when the overcharge/overdischarge detector is activated to reduce the cell voltage variability, which would otherwise occur as a result of interference from the overcharge/overdischarge detector, so that the overcharge/overdischarge states of all unit cells can be determined with precision. Connecting lines of the unit cells are monitored to detect a line-cut. The inhibit circuit further inhibits the cell equalizer when the connecting lines are being monitored to reduce the cell voltage variability, which would otherwise occur as a result of interference from the line-cut detection, so that false line-cut detection is avoided.
