摘要: A motherboard assembly of a computer includes a motherboard (80) and an expansion device. The expansion device is connected to the motherboard. The expansion device includes a BIOS chip (10), a first connector (20) and at least one second connector (30). The first connector is connected to a socket (40) mounted on the motherboard. The second connector is capable of connecting to a burning device (90) for restoring the BIOS chip. The BIOS chip is connected to the first connector, the second connector, and to a signal choice terminal of the motherboard which acts to access the BIOS chip through the first connector and the socket such that the BIOS chip of the expansion device can replace a BIOS chip mounted on the motherboard to be accessed when the computer is powered up to be tested, thereby protecting the BIOS chip mounted on the motherboard being damaged in test.

摘要: In one embodiment, a data stream is scanned for presence of computer viruses using a stream-based protocol parser, a stream-based decoder/decompressor, and a stream-based pattern matching engine. The protocol parser may be configured to extract application layer content from the data stream to generate a file stream. The protocol parser may stream the file stream to the decoder/decompressor, which may decode/decompress the file stream to generate a plain stream. The decoder/decompressor may stream the plain stream to the pattern matching engine, which in turn may scan the plain stream for viruses. Advantageously, the aforementioned components may perform its function as soon as streaming data becomes available, without having to wait for the entirety of the data.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for performing tax calculations. An add-in model is described for developing add-in(s) for performing tax calculations. The add-in(s) calculate taxes for one or more tax authorities for items contained in a transaction being processed by a point of sale application. The add-in model specifies functionality the add-in(s) need to implement before the add-in(s) can be used by the point of sale application. A method for configuring multiple add-ins is described. A first add-in is called to calculate a first partial tax owed and the first partial tax is received back. A second add-in is called to calculate a second partial tax owed and the second partial tax is received back. A total tax is calculated by adding the first partial tax with the second partial tax. A configuration user interface is also provided by the add-in.

摘要: A system and method for remotely loading artifacts is disclosed. The system and method involves monitoring application installation events on a computing device. In response to detecting an application installation event, the application installation event is intercepted. The application associated with the application installation event is searched for artifacts, and any artifacts found within the application are stored in a centralized location. The artifacts are further indexed according to a target namespace. In one embodiment, the system and method further involved receiving a query from a client to locate an artifact, locating the artifact from previously extracted artifacts and returning the artifact as URL address.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems for computing, analyzing, and improving integrated circuit yield and quality are disclosed herein. For example, in one exemplary method disclosed herein, information is received from processing test responses of integrated circuits designed for functional use in electronic devices. In this embodiment, the information is indicative of integrated circuit failures observed during testing of the integrated circuits and of possible yield limiting factors causing the integrated circuit failures. Probabilities that one or more of the possible yield limiting factors in the integrated circuits actually caused the integrated circuit failures are determined by statistically analyzing the received information. The probabilities that one or more possible yield limiting factors actually caused the integrated circuit failures are reported. Tangible computer-readable media comprising computer-executable instructions for causing a computer to perform any of the described methods are also disclosed.

摘要: A spatial light modulator 100 comprising an array-type liquid crystal panel 115, a polarization beam splitter 120, an oblique wave plate 130 and a converging lens 135. The polarization beam splitter is orientated to direct a source light 125 towards a reflective planar surface 127 of the array-type liquid crystal panel. The oblique wave plate and converging lens are located between the polarization beam splitter and the array-type liquid crystal panel. The converging lens is configured to direct light from the reflective planar surface onto a facing surface 125 of the polarization beam splitter.
