摘要:
A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting uplink rate assignment information for an uplink data transmission to a User Equipment (UE) by a Node B in a mobile communication system. The uplink rate assignment information to be transmitted for each UE is determined. The uplink rate assignment information is transmitted to the UE. The uplink rate assignment information is attached with a UE ID-specific Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) of the UE when directly indicating an uplink rate grant for the UE.

A method and apparatus for efficiently controlling uplink traffic rates, performing scheduling accompanied by fast rate ramping, and transmitting uplink rate assignment information in an asynchronous WCDMA communication system. A Node B determines an allowed current rate for an uplink channel. If the difference between the current rate and the previous rate is two or more levels, the Node B transmits a rate indication indicating the current rate. If the difference between the current rate and the previous rate is zero or one level, the Node B transmits a rate up/down indicating a rate change from the previous rate to the current rate. Also the Node B may transmit the rate indication instead of the rate up/down, periodically or in an event-triggered manner.

A CDMA communication system including a Node B, a UE located in a region of the Node B, a neighbor Node B being adjacent to the Node B and having a soft handover region where the neighbor Node B overlaps with the Node B, and an RNC connected to the Node B and the neighbor Node B. When the UE is located in a non-soft handover region in a region of the Node B, it transmits uplink data to the Node B for a predetermined first transmission time interval. When the UE is located in the soft handover region, it transmits the uplink data to the Node B and the neighbor Node B for a predetermined second transmission time interval.

Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for multiplexing and transmitting/receiving an ACK/NACK resulting from use of a HARQ scheme in an OFDMA system. Frequency and code multiplexing methods are combined with regard to the ACK/NACK to reduce signaling overhead. Frequency multiplexing is conducted by using the MCS level adopted by scheduling channels to improve the ACK/NACK transmitting performance, and code multiplexing is conducted to allocate ACK/NACK resources by using the index of the scheduling channels.

A method and apparatus are provided for signaling a maximum UE transmitter power to a Node B for use in scheduling of uplink packet transmission in a mobile communication system. The Node B receives uplink channel status information from a UE and a maximum UE transmitter power from an RNC. The maximum UE transmitter power is the lower of the maximum allowed UL Tx power and the maximum Tx power of the UE. The Node B then schedules uplink packet transmission from the UE based on the uplink channel status information and the maximum UE transmitter power.

An apparatus and method of transmitting scheduling information from a UE to a Node B to request Node B controlled scheduling in an asynchronous CDMA communication system supporting an E-DCH packet data service is provided. The UE generates a MAC-e PDU including only scheduling information representing a buffer status and a power status in relation to uplink data transmission, and transmits the MAC-e PDU on an E-DCH along with TF information indicating the transmission of the MAC-e PDU including the scheduling information. The Node B receives the scheduling information on the E-DCH and schedules uplink data transmission according to the scheduling information.

Disclosed is a method for determining a data rate of a user equipment (UE) for an enhanced uplink dedicated channel (EUDCH) service by a Node B in a mobile communication system having a radio network controller (RNC), the UE transmitting UE transmission power class information to the RNC, and the Node B having a table for storing total transmission power corresponding to the transmission power class, the Node B supporting the EUDCH service of the UE. The method comprises receiving uplink channel condition information of the UE from the UE, and receiving UE transmission power class information from the RNC; and reading total transmission power corresponding to the received UE transmission power class from the table, and determining a data rate of the UE considering the uplink channel condition information and the total transmission power.

A resource allocation method and apparatus for downlink transmission of a base station in a mobile communication system. The base station compares the number Ntx of data transmissions with the number Nper of available persistent resource allocations, and allocates resources by at least one of a persistent resource allocation scheme and a dynamic resource allocation scheme according to the comparison result.
