    摘要: An automatic player piano has various sorts of individuality due to differences in size, design margins applied to the component parts and a difference in electric characteristics of system component parts so that key position signals contain error components due to those sorts of individuality; plural feedback control loops are created between the key sensors and key actuators, and the error components are eliminated from the current key positions through the normalization; even if an original performance is reenacted through the automatic player piano different from that used in the recording, the feedback control loops cause the key actuators to force the keys to move along reference trajectories determined on the basis of the music data codes, whereby the manufacturer makes the key sensors shared between the recording system and the automatic playing system.

    摘要: When recording/reproducing a digital video signal having 1080 effective lines, an MPEG stream can be extracted on the reproducing side with a simple structure and without causing serious deterioration of the image quality, and without wastefully consuming the capacity of the recording medium. To achieve this object, a macro block assembling circuit (semi-MPEG) 20 in the compression circuit 10 assembles macro blocks having 16 lines and macro blocks having 8 lines from the digital video signal. A DCT circuit (MPEG) 22 applies field DCT or frame DCT defined by the MPEG standard to the macro blocks with 16 lines and applies only the frame DCT defined by the MPEG standard to the macro blocks with 8 lines.

    摘要: A video signal layering-encoding system according to the present invention has at least either a frequency distribution unit to judge a frequency distribution in an input video signal or a motion judgment unit to judge the motion of an input video signal. With this, encoding quantity control according to the characteristics of the input video signal can be performed between layers. Also, with selection of encode modes and sharing of a motion vector, the encoded data of a bidirectionally predicted frame can be reduced and the encoding efficiency of a high resolution signal can be increased. A digitial broadcast decoding system according to the present invention can readily display a plurality of broadcasting programs on different channels onto a small screen within a main screen when digital broadcasts are received, by a decoding method in which processing is easy, structurally simple circuitry, and software. In a digital broadcasting signal storage according to the present invention, by thinning out DCT coefficients to reduce the quantity of data to be stored or to slow down the storing speed of requisite data and by addition of a video signal decoding section and video signal encoding section for encoding video signals again, the video signal format in a storage medium can be fixed as a single format.

Deformation at an edge of an image can be reduced by eliminating a temporal factor and vertical resolution can be retained even after data supplementation. In the process of compressing and decompressing interlace-scanned image data, one of two fields of a frame is selected by a field selector, image data is supplemented and reproduced based on the selected field data by a supplementor, and image data is outputted as a static image without deformation. As a result, more bits can be allocated for encoding by selecting and compressing one field data only and it leads to a higher quality image display. Furthermore, display deformation can be reduced by supplementing high frequency components as zero in the decompression processing.

    摘要: A brand-new player piano is designed to have a compatibility with the conventional player piano and the electronic musical instrument based on the MIDI standard while providing a capability of playing a highly skilled music performance such as the performance technique of half stroke. The player piano creates a new version of performance information which uses a key-depression event frame in addition to a string-striking event frame and a key-release event frame. Herein, the string-striking event frame contains extensional information for a string-striking velocity, while the key-release event frame contains extensional information for a key-release velocity. The extensional information is not specifically defined by the MIDI standard and is neglected by the conventional player piano. The key-depression event frame, which is newly introduced by this player piano and is neglected by the conventional player piano, represents a note number and a key-depression velocity as well as extensional information for the key-depression velocity. Using the extensional information, it is possible to control each of the velocities more precisely. The performance information is recorded on a recording media. At a reproduction, the player piano produces trajectory data and position data with respect to each of the keys on the basis of the performance information. The trajectory data represent a key-depression-uniform-motion trajectory and a key-depression-slow-down trajectory along which a key moves when being depressed. The trajectory data also represent a key-release-uniform-motion trajectory and a key-release-slow-up trajectory along which the key moves when being released.
