Abstract:
The present invention refers to a method for managing a network access user policy (UOP) associated to with a user equipment (UE1) for offloading data traffic, using Access Network Discovery and Selection Function (ANDSF), wherein one or more Wi-Fi access points are available for the UE1 and the UE1 is in communication with an server through a mobile communications network.
Abstract:
The method comprising passing, a base station or a user terminal, information comprising data signals and encoding, a first and a second turbo encoders, said received data signals, generating two different turbo code blocks comprising a set of systematic and parity bits. Where, in order to enhance detection the two different turbo code blocks are simultaneously transmitted through a wireless OFDM system and wherein the data signals to be encoded by said second turbo encoder are interleaved prior encoding by an external bit interleaver. The system of the invention is arranged to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
The method comprising receiving, an ALTO server at a network layer, a request from an ALTO client at an application layer to obtain network cost for a connection; computing, the cost information concerning PIDs stored in the ALTO server and adapting, by a request controller, the computed cost information to an ALTO information further sending it to the ALTO server and the latter to said ALTO client; receiving, by a provisioning server, a request from a provisioning client to compute a path for setting up a connection between said PIDs and transmitting said request to a provisioning controller; mapping, the provisioning controller, said received request from the provisioning server into network addresses and computing said path according to said network addresses; and comparing, a network cost of the computed path with a cost information previously stored by the request controller in a request database.
Abstract:
A method, system and computer program for inter-working between different wireless technologies. The method including connecting a base station wirelessly connected to a mobile terminal, both complying with standardized wireless radio access technology, with a MME and/or a SGW of the EPC of the 3GPP standard by a NAS function included in the base station. The NAS function collecting a MAC address of the mobile terminal and generating an IMSI identity based on the collecting; providing the generated IMSI to the MME and storing it together with a set of parameters and algorithms; performing, with the MME or with a HSS an authentication and ciphering procedure of the mobile terminal using the stored set of parameters and algorithms, and performing the termination of the NAS protocol messages with the MME for management procedures related with the mobile terminal, the wireless radio access technology and the 3GPP standard being different technologies.
Abstract:
A method involving coordinating resources between a victim and an aggressor base station in massive MIMO systems, whereby only those specific beams involved in the interference scenario are coordinated in time and/or frequency domains without affecting other resources committed to other users as well as legacy users. Also disclosed is a system and computer program configured to implement the method.
Abstract:
A method and system for defining a route between a first user and a second user having respective mobile devices. A communication is established between a backend server (13) and a plurality of mobile devices (11) belonging to a respective user of a cellular phone network (12). The mobile devices (11) capture geographical position information and send it towards said backend server (13); said backend server (13) receives geographical position information from the plurality of mobile devices (11) and infers thereof geo-temporal mobility patterns related to each mobile device; said backend server (13) receives information from the cellular phone network (12) about originated and terminated calls of the plurality of mobile devices (11) and constructs thereof call graphs of each mobile device, said call graph comprising frequently used numbers and from where the calls are initiated and terminated; said backend server (13) receives a route definition request between two mobile respectively associated to said first user and said second user; said backend server (13) analyzes said geo-temporal mobility patterns of said mobile devices associated to said first and second users and geo-temporal mobility patterns of the remaining mobile devices included in their call graphs for defining thereto a route between the first and second users; said backend server (13) establishes the route between the first and second users and notifies said route to all mobile devices involved in said route.
Abstract:
In the method of the invention said services include Information Technology, or IT, and scheduled services and said converged networks implement Policy Control and Charging Rules Function, or PCRF and advanced Path Computation Element, or PCE+ in a 3rd Generation Partnership Project architecture. It is characterised in that it comprises performing a communication procedure between a PCRF module and a PCE+ module by means of an adaptor entity in order to provide, said PCE+ module, information to said PCRF module, said PCRF module using said information to at least allocate network and/or IT resources demanded when provisioning said services.
Abstract:
In the method of the invention, said CDN comprises a plurality of server nodes, said content acquisition process is performed when an end-user requests uploading content and said method is characterised in that it comprises: —selecting, a central entity receiving an uploading request from said end-user, at least one of said plurality of server nodes according to location of said end user, current status of said plurality of server nodes, CPU requirements of said plurality of server nodes and/or any other monitoring parameter of said CDN; —directing, said central entity, said uploading request from said end-user to said at least one of said plurality of server nodes; and—uploading, said end-user, said content to said at least one of said plurality of server nodes upon acceptance of said uploading request by said at least one of said plurality of server nodes. The system of the invention is arranged to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
A method of optimizing the design of a Tracker in P2P applications to support DVD features, the method including determining for each peer and video operation the time T and jump point Pj, generating a hash key HKj for each peer, the hash key having a value Kj=(Pj−T)/C, where C>=1 is the granularity of the system, and grouping the peers with the same hash-key, where the system is designed to provide good viewer experience while supporting DVD features like pause, forward and backward jump operations.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for distributing routing information for redundant connection. The method is implemented in hierarchical IPv6 Internet protocol (IP) networks comprising a plurality of different autonomous systems (AS) which use a border gateway routing protocol (BGP-4) to communicate, which protocol does not allow routing sessions to be established automatically, which prevents multi-provider services from being created. The method of the invention makes it possible to create multi-provider services in the networks discussed above by using the BGP-4 protocol established by the current standards and technologies. This makes it possible to increase services offered by the providers.
