    摘要: The electric dust collecting apparatus comprises a plurality of discharge electrodes that are disposed in an exhaust flow passage, a ground electrode that constitutes at least a part of an inner wall surface of the exhaust flow passage, and a voltage applying device that is configured to apply voltage selectively from a common power supply to each of the plurality of discharge electrodes. The plurality of discharge regions, each of which includes at least one discharge electrode, are provided in the exhaust flow passage and an electrode-to-electrode distance between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode is different in each of the plurality of discharge regions. The voltage applying device applies voltage to the discharge electrode for each discharge region, and changes the discharge region where voltage is applied to the discharge electrode in accordance with exhaust gas temperature.

The method is characterized in that edge parts (6) of the paper bands (5) have a moisture-resistant substance applied to them. The material for fabricating a precipitator of cardboard for a two-step electrofilter is also described.

    摘要: An air cleaning device for separating airborne particles from a flow of air is provided. The air cleaning device comprises a separating unit and an ionizing unit arranged to charge airborne particles present in the flow of air and transmit at least a major part of the charged particles towards the separating unit. The ionizing unit comprises at least one collector electrode and at least one emitter electrode. The separating unit is arranged to attract at least some of the charged particles so as to separate them from the flow of air. Further, the at least one collector electrode is shaped so as to conduct at least a portion of the flow of air and has a spherically curved inner surface and the emitter electrode is centered with respect to the spherically curved inner surface of the collector electrode.

    摘要: An electrostatic precipitation air cleaner to reduce ozone output is provided. The electrostatic precipitation air cleaner includes a housing with an air inlet and outlet. Located in the housing are an air mover for moving a stream of air along an airflow path between the inlet and the outlet, an ion emitter electrode positioned in the airflow path downstream of the inlet for ionizing particulates entrained in the stream of air, a collector electrode having an inlet downstream of the ion emitter electrode, and an intermediate element intermediate the ion emitter electrode and the collector electrode. The collector electrode is comprised of a plurality of collector plates spaced apart in a direction transverse to the airflow path. The plates are electrically biased to create and maintain an electric field in the space therebetween to precipitate ionized particulates entrained in the stream of air onto a confronting surfaces of the plates.
