    摘要: An electrostatic precipitation air cleaner to reduce ozone output is provided. The electrostatic precipitation air cleaner includes a housing with an air inlet and outlet. Located in the housing are an air mover for moving a stream of air along an airflow path between the inlet and the outlet, an ion emitter electrode positioned in the airflow path downstream of the inlet for ionizing particulates entrained in the stream of air, a collector electrode having an inlet downstream of the ion emitter electrode, and an intermediate element intermediate the ion emitter electrode and the collector electrode. The collector electrode is comprised of a plurality of collector plates spaced apart in a direction transverse to the airflow path. The plates are electrically biased to create and maintain an electric field in the space therebetween to precipitate ionized particulates entrained in the stream of air onto a confronting surfaces of the plates.

    摘要: The present invention provides a power generation facility that is adapted to clean large air masses. Air from the environment, which normally contains the most pollutants, is directed into an air flow path through which large quantities of air are directed by a plurality of large diameter fans. The large air flow is directed through electrically insulated cooling fins which cool heated gas from power generators. The electrically insulated cooling fans have a voltage applied thereto and act as electrodes used to produce an electric field that attracts particles such as pollutants. In a preferred embodiment, a charging section is utilized within the air flow prior to the electrically insulated cooling fins to charge the particles with a charge opposite to the voltage applied to the cooling fins to thereby attract the particles to the cooling fins. A cooling fin washing system with pressurized jets is provided in one embodiment to wash the pollutants from the surface of the cooling fins.

    摘要: A portable air filtration system includes a filter housing having an air inlet and outlet. The housing defines a filtration chamber between the inlet and outlet. The air filtration system uses an intake fan, an ionizing mechanism, a filter media, and a conductive coating to filter air. The fan moves the air through the chamber. The ionizing mechanism ionizes particles within the air to a negative charge. The media includes an upstream side facing the inlet and a downstream side facing the outlet and is disposed between the ionizing mechanism and the outlet to entrap the particles. The conductive coating is applied to the upstream side of the media. This establishes an electric field between the ionizing mechanism and the conductive coating. Furthermore, the upstream side of the media is electrically-connected to ground through the conductive coating for dissipating the negative charge of the particles entrapped within the media.

The chains of the dust-collecting electrode groups are suspended so that they can rock back and forth.

    摘要: An apparatus for removing respirable aerosols (typically within the size range of about 0.1 to about 2 microns in diameter) from air comprises a housing and a chamber demountably coupled to the housing, the chamber having a dielectric material forming a packed bed within a charged bed region and apparatus for charging the aerosols in the air so that they may be removed when contacting the dielectric material in the bed region. An indicating device is provided to signify when the dielectric material is contaminated and should be renewed. The chamber may comprise cardboard or plastic coated with a conductive material and can be disposed of along with the contaminated material.A method for removing the respirable aerosols from air is also disclosed.
