The axial substituent is selected from the group consisting of halogen, alkyloxy, haloalkyloxy, ester, carbonyl substituted alkyl, carbonyl substituted haloalkyl, alkylaryloxy, haloalkylaryloxy, alkyl sulfonyl, haloalkyl sulfonyl, alkylaryl sulfonyl and haloalkylaryl sulfonyl. The compound is not one of the following compounds: a) Phenoxytrispentadecylphenoxyboronsubphthalocyanine, b) Chlorotrispentadecylphenoxyboronsubphthalocyanine, or c) 3-Pentadecylphenoxytrispentadecylphenoxyboronsubphthalocyanine.
