Abstract:
A cable guide for use with a window regulator assembly includes a body, an attachment configured to be inserted through an aperture in a guide rail and retain a portion of the guide rail in a rail gap, a spring tab configured to press against an edge of the guide rail, and a cable retention arm configured to receive a tensioned drive cable of the window regulator. The cable guide may be steadily assembled to the guide rail by utilizing the pushing force from the tensioned drive cable. The aperture is located along the guide rail such that the aperture is out of the slide path of the window carrier of the window regulator assembly.
Abstract:
A threaded drum is rotated by a drive shaft. As the threaded drum rotates, part of a cable is wrapped around the drum, while at the same time, a second part of the cable is unwrapped from the drum. Rotation of the drive shaft is based on rotation of an operator.
Abstract:
A guide-pulley device is equipped with: a guide pulley having a plurality of grooves configured so as to independently accommodate two cables for moving in a manner such that when one moves in a winding direction, the other moves in a feeding direction; and a storage body for storing the guide pulley. The storage body has first and second storage members which attach to one another. The first storage member has a base on which a support shaft for supporting the guide pulley stands upright. The second storage member has a lid section which faces the base section. The first storage member also has a partition wall for forming two routing channels for routing each of the cables, and a plurality of hooks projecting from the partition into the grooves. The base, the partition wall, and the hooks are formed integrally.
Abstract:
A window regulator which attenuates vibrations of a wire, which are generated when the door is closed while a window glass is constrained at the top end of the window, to suppress the generation of an abnormal noise. The window regulator includes a carrier plate coupled to a vehicle window glass, a driving unit which lifts and lowers the carrier plate and is disposed below a lower limit of lifting and lowering of the carrier plate, a lifting wire having one end coupled to the carrier plate and another end coupled to the driving unit via a direction-changing member, and a lowering wire having ends coupled to the carrier plate and the driving unit, respectively. An attenuation member is provided on the lifting wire interposed between the direction-changing member and the driving unit and makes contact with the lifting wire to attenuate vibrations when the lifting wire vibrates.
Abstract:
A cable deflecting piece, which is fastened on a rail head or rail foot of a guide rail and is intended for a cable operated window lifter, contains a base body which during mounting and following fastening of the cable deflecting piece, abuts against the guide rail on one side of the rail head or rail foot, also contains a rotary and bearing pin, which projects from the base body, can be inserted in a position in which it is tilted in relation to the longitudinal extension of the guide rail, into a rotary and bearing opening of the rail head or rail foot and can be pivoted about a cable deflecting piece, further contains a rotation prevention means which, in a final mounting position, once the cable deflecting piece has been pivoted about the mounting axis of rotation, secures the connection of the cable deflection piece to the rail head or rail foot such that the cable deflecting piece cannot rotate and additionally contains a device which is formed on the basic body and is intended for securing the abutment of the base body against the rail head or rail foot perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the guide rail.
Abstract:
A drive unit for a power operated vehicle closure has a track, a guide moveable along the track, a link attached to the guide at one end and adapted to be attached to the vehicle closure at the opposite end, and a motor assembly for moving the guide along the track. The motor assembly has an electric motor and a speed reducer driven by the electric motor that has a first stage and a second stage. The first stage includes a belt drive and the second stage is a spur gear set. Alternatively the first stage is a worm gear and a mating helical gear. The worm gear preferably has a high lead angle and a high number of leads. The speed of the electric motor is reduced to about 1000 rpm or less in the first stage permitting the use of spur gears in the second stage while retaining quiet operation.
Abstract:
A brake device for a cable-operated door operated by a tension cable, being mountable onto the cable-operated door and configured for cooperating with the tension cable so as to immobilize the cable-operated door with respect to the fixed structure by means of a braking arm in the event of a loss of tension in the cable, the brake device being improved in that it is provided with an anti-theft mechanism including a catcher assembly and a protrusion operatively projecting from the braking arm. The catcher assembly is operatively connectable to the fixed structure and the protrusion is shaped, positioned and sized with respect to the catcher assembly so as to be engaged with the catcher assembly when the braking arm is operated into the engaged configuration caused by a given loss of tension in the cable, thereby preventing the cable-operated door from being displaced upwardly along the fixed structure as a result of the catcher assembly abutting against the protrusion of the braking arm.
Abstract:
A vehicle door, wherein a drive unit for raising and lowering a glass plate is constructed so that a plurality of pulleys across which wires are laid are provided at upper and lower sides of a base panel. The glass plate is moved up and down by driving the wires, and the glass plate is prevented from moving in a vehicle inward direction when the door is closed. Wire fixing portions are prevented from being damaged by large upward and downward stroke movements of the glass plate Furthermore, the wires are prevented from slackening when the wires are driven and stopped by providing a supporting rod along a path of upward and downward movement of the glass plate, and a contact member which has no contact with the supporting rod. Trumpet-shaped guide portions are provided at hole edges of the wire fixing portions, and the V-shaped circumferential surfaces of a tensioner eliminates slack in the wires.
Abstract:
A device for adjusting a window regulator in a vehicle door, having a profiled base element (110) positonable on a lower section of the vehicle door and provided with a first elongate hole (111b) in its lower side and a second elongate hole (111a) in its upper side. A slider (112) slidingly moves within the base element (110) and includes a hole (113) aligned with the first elongate hole (111b). A screw extends through the hole (113) in the slider and the first elongate hole (111b) aligned therewith. A bolt (116) is fixedly attachable to the window regulator extending through the second elongate hole (111a) and includes a threaded rod engaging the threading of screw (114). The screw (114) can be turned from a first position, in which it does not engage the slider (112), to a second position, in which it engages the slider (112) with the first screw end (114b). The device provides for simple compensation of tolerances in connection with the vehicle door and for the window regulator.
Abstract:
A tensioner for a cable includes a fixing point and a free end. A first active part defines a first surface of the tensioner, and a second active part defines a second surface of the tensioner which is different from the first surface. The tensioner tensions the cable while following the displacement of the cable. One of the active parts acts as a tensioner on the cable, and the other of the active parts allows the free end of the cable tensioner to follow displacement of the cable, preventing the twisting of the tensioner or deformation of the cable. The tensioner can be employed with cable-driven window regulator for a vehicle.
