摘要： An air compression apparatus has a frame, a tank, and a motor A drive mechanism is operably connected to the motor and at least one piston assembly is operably connected to the drive mechanism and configured to move within a respective cylinder mounted to the frame. The piston assembly includes: (1) a piston body; (2) a piston rod having a hollow bore connected at one end to the drive mechanism and at an opposite end to the piston body; and (3) a piston valve installed on the piston body. In use, upward travel of the piston body as caused by the drive mechanism acting through the piston rod opens the piston valve and allows ambient air to be drawn through the hollow bore into the cylinder, and downward travel of the piston body closes the piston valve so as to compress the air within the cylinder.

摘要： An ink jet printer includes a maintenance station which is simple in construction and small-sized. A cap holder is provided with a suction port communicating with a cap through a communication hole, a discharge port and a vent port. Provided in the cap holder is a cylinder which rotates upon actuation of a piston and which is provided on an outer diameter portion thereof with connection holes such that a pressure chamber is connected to the suction port in a suction stroke, the pressure chamber is connected to the discharge port and the suction port is connected to the vent port in an exhaust stroke. The cap holder contains therein the vent port for a suction pump and an atmospheric opening valve.

摘要： The disclosed manually operated bicycle pump is portable on the frame of a bicycle and need not be detached from the bicycle frame when in use. The disclosed pump transfers substantially the same volume of air to a pneumatic tube or tire on both inward and outward strokes and preferably employs a more efficient double u-cup seal structure in the piston head assembly. In addition, the disclosed pump preferably employs a more efficient and easily manufacturable flex value structure to seal or open an air inlet port. The disclosed pump design allows the body of the pump to be anchored such that the user is free to use a more efficient set of human musculature to operate the pump.

摘要： A pump is described including an elongated cylindrical reservoir, a valve casing, at which the pump is pivotally fixed in space, and a pump chamber which are in a linear arrangement. A piston within the pump chamber is connected to a link, the end of which is pivotally fixed in space. A handle atop the reservoir is used to pump fluid from the reservoir to an attached device to be operated. Bores and check valves within the valve casing regulate the flow of fluid through the pump. A release mechanism which allows fluid to flow from the attached device to be operated back into the reservoir is activated by rotating the handle.

摘要： A swash plate pump includes a housing and cylinders arranged in a circular pattern around the drive shaft. Piston rods are pivotally connected at one end to the swash plate and mechanism surrounding the drive shaft and axially slidable along it controls the angle of the swash plate. The opposite end of each piston rods is fixed to a piston. In one embodiment, each piston rod is locally reduced in cross-sectional area adjacent its piston to compensate for disparity in arcuate motions of the opposite ends of the piston rod and in another embodiment, the cylinders are mounted in ball joints in the housing to compensate the disparity. One end of the housing may be formed as a manifold and double seals are provided between the compression side and the drive side of the pump.

摘要： A system for the distillation of sea water comprising a sea water input conduit, an evaporator, a work extractor, a float, a condenser, a distilled water output conduit, and a brine solution output conduit. The evaporator is connected to the input conduit. The work extractor comprises a cylinder, a piston slideably engaging the interior of the cylinder, and a piston rod extending from the piston. The piston rod is pivotally coupled to the float. The cylinder is pivotally attached to a second float. The second float is connected to the first float. A conduit connects the piston-and-cylinder arrangement with the condenser. The condenser communicates with the distilled water output conduit. The evaporator communicates with the brine solution output conduit. The energy for this system is provided by the wave motion of a body of water.
