摘要: A power over Ethernet extender arranged to detect if power is received over 2 pairs of wires or over 4 pairs of wires. If power is received over 4 pairs of wires, power is output over only 2 pairs of wires. Preferably, the power signature of the received power is further detected. If the incoming power over a first 2 pairs of wires supports in excess of 13 watts of power consumption, and power is received over 4 pairs, then the output power supports in excess of 13 watts of power consumption; and if the incoming power over a first 2 pairs of wires supports in excess of 13 watts of power consumption, and power is not received over 4 pairs, then the output power does not support in excess of 13 watts of power consumption.

摘要: A portable electronic apparatus and a power management method are provided. The portable electronic apparatus includes a power manager and a controller. The power manager is used to receive a supply power generated by a power adapter. The power manager determines whether to generate a detecting signal by detecting whether a voltage value variation of the supply power is greater than a preset range. The power manager generates a current detecting value according to an input current provided by the supply power. The controller receives the detecting signal and the current detecting value, and generates an input current limit value according to a receiving status of the detecting signal and the current detecting value. The power manager controls the input current according to the input current limit value.

摘要: In a particular embodiment, a circuit includes a power supply, a ground, and a clamping transistor circuit coupled to the power supply and to the ground. The circuit further includes a disable clamp circuit. The disable clamp circuit is coupled to the power supply and is responsive to a second power supply input to selectively disable the clamping transistor circuit by modifying a charging current applied to a capacitor of the clamping transistor circuit. In a particular embodiment, modifying the charging current includes enabling a second charging path. Enabling the second charging path enables charging the capacitor at a higher charging rate than a charging rate associated with charging the capacitor via a first charging path.

摘要: A system includes a voltage sensing module and a frequency adjustment module. The voltage sensing module is configured to sense a supply voltage of a circuit block, generate a first control signal when the supply voltage is less than or equal to a first voltage, and generate a second control signal when the supply voltage is within a predetermined range of a second voltage. The frequency adjustment module is configured to set a frequency of a clock signal supplied to the circuit block to less than a normal operating frequency of the circuit block when the supply voltage is initially supplied to the circuit block after a power on reset operation and the first control signal or the second control signal is received.
