Abstract:
The vibration and noise excited by the electromagnetic exciting force in the radial direction of an electric motor are suppressed. In an electric motor 100, a rotor 1 is divided into four rotor pieces 3, 4, 5, and 6 for an axial length of 2L of one group of the rotor core, and for example, the four rotor pieces 3, 4, 5, and 6 are ideally 0.29L, 0.71L, 0.71L, and 0.29L in axial length in the axial direction, and permanent magnets 2 of the rotor pieces 3, 4, 5, and 6 are arranged in the circumferential direction so that the phase differences of the electrical angle are 0, π, 0, and π. Further, when an effect is obtained even if the ideal axial length is changed, the tolerance of the aforementioned axial length is ±0.1L.

Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for an improved wind turbine and blade assembly are disclosed. The wind turbine has a wind turbine assembly being rotatably driven by the blade assembly. The wind turbine assembly has a shaft connected to an inner wheel by a supporting structure. A magnet array is disposed circumferentially about the inner wheel. A transformer array is disposed circumferentially about an outer wheel. The shaft rotates the inner wheel with the magnet array within the outer wheel having the transformer array for producing electricity. Magnets within the array are angled relative to the inner wheel to reduce the cogging torque. Blades are held in a neutral position into the wind by tensioning means, which resists rotation of the blades out of the wind to tune the blades to the wind velocity.
Abstract:
In a three-phase brushless motor, a rotor has a stacked structure including first to third stages which include segment magnets to which a skew process is applied. When the number of poles P in the circumferential direction is set to P, an angle of skew is set to Δ=360/(6P/2) [deg]. That is, the magnet segments are respectively arranged so that the magnet segment of the second stage is shifted by a rotating angle of Δ/3 in the circumferential direction from the magnet segment of the first stage and the magnet segment of the third stage is shifted by a rotating angle of 2Δ/3 in the circumferential direction.

The present invention relates to a rotor for an electrical machine, in particular a brushless DC motor, having a rotor body (2), which has an essentially cylindrical shape, and having at least one magnet (5) having a bearing face (6), the magnet being arranged on the circumference of the rotor body, characterized in that the rotor body (2) has at least one web (3) aligned in the longitudinal direction.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electric synchronous machine. There is a need for a dual rotor electric synchronous machine which has a mechanism for adjusting the rotor relative angular displacement while the machine is running in order to reduce back EMF. There is a need for such an adjusting mechanism which can carry high torque loads. An electric synchronous machine is provided with a housing, first and second shafts rotatably supported in the housing, each with a corresponding rotor fixed thereon, both having permanent magnet field poles. Each rotor is surrounded by a corresponding annular stator, and stator coils are wound through both stators. A planetary transmission is coupled between the first and second shafts and operable during rotation of the first and second shafts to adjust an angular orientation of the second shaft with respect to the first shaft.

In order to provide a less expensive generator, a rotor using nonmagnetic beams is disclosed. The rotor includes a magnetic steel rim connected to a main generator shaft by a hub. The magnetic rim supports the components of the rotor, which includes a plurality of magnets and pole pieces. The pole pieces are connected to the rim with non-magnetic standoffs and nonmagnetic fasteners. The magnets are supported radially by nonmagnetic beams. The magnets are retained tangentially by pole pieces and radially by wedges. The components of the rotor are further retained axially between plates coupled to the rim and a shoulder on the pole pieces.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic motor employing plural rotors is provided, with each rotor exhibiting a permanent magnetic field. A control module selectively induces magnetic fields in electromagnetic pads surrounding each of the rotors. Through the interaction of the permanent and induced magnetic fields, the rotors can turn. As a result, a shaft mechanically engaging the rotors also turns to provide mechanical power. In response to the shaft rotation, an alternator generates sufficient electrical power to sustain the operation of the control module without an external power source. The magnetic polarities of the induced magnetic fields can be reversed, thus causing the rotors to continue turning. In various applications, the motor can be installed in a vehicle or in a building power supply as desired.
