    摘要: The invention generally relates to a field regulator, particularly a field regulator for a resonant circuit, a transmitter including such a field regulator, a proximity detection system including such a transmitter, and a method of regulating a resonant circuit. In one aspect the invention provides a field regulator for a resonant circuit, the resonant circuit including an inductor coil around a core, the field regulator including a DC bias circuit configured to apply a DC bias current to the inductor coil for regulating an electromagnetic field generated by the inductor. The DC bias circuit can be used to selectively change the inductance of the inductor in the resonant circuit so as to maintain a consistent field strength in a changing environment, particularly to take into account the presence of large metal bodies which might otherwise adversely impact on operation. In particular, the DC bias current may be used to selectively change the natural frequency of the resonant circuit so as to shift the resonant circuit towards a desired resonance point.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a resonant DC-DC power converter comprising an input side circuit comprising a positive and a negative input terminal for receipt of an input voltage or current and an output side circuit comprising positive and negative output terminals for supply of a converter output voltage and connection to a converter load. The resonant DC-DC power converter further comprises a rectification circuit connected between an output of a resonant network and the output side circuit. The resonant network is configured for alternatingly being charged from the input voltage or current and discharged through the rectification circuit by a first controllable switch arrangement in accordance with a first switch control signal. A second controllable switch arrangement of the resonant DC-DC power converter is configured to select a first impedance characteristic of the resonant network in a first switch state and select a second impedance characteristic of the resonant network in a second switch state. An output voltage or current control circuit is configured to adjust the converter output voltage and/or current by activating and interrupting the first switch control signal in accordance with the switch state of the second controllable switch arrangement.

    摘要: A capacitor charger system has a resonant power converter to connect to a capacitor via a rectifier. The resonant power converter has a switch-based bridge network, an internal transformer, a resonant circuit, and an amplitude stabilization circuit. The switch-based bridge network comprises at least one pair of switches. The resonant circuit includes a series-resonant branch with capacitive and inductive components, and the resonant circuit is connected in the circuit path to a midpoint between a pair of switches of the switch-based bridge network. The amplitude stabilization circuit provides stabilization of the resonant amplitude of the resonant circuit, and the amplitude stabilization circuit includes one-way conducting circuitry connected between an unrestricted node defined by a junction and a connection point of the resonant power converter having a predefined voltage level at operation. The resonant power converter connects to the output rectifier via the secondary winding of the internal transformer.

    摘要: The disclosed embodiments provide an AC/DC power converter that converts an AC input voltage into a DC output voltage. This AC/DC power converter includes an input rectifier stage which rectifies an AC input voltage into a first rectified voltage of a first constant polarity and a first amplitude. The AC/DC power converter also includes a switching resonant stage which is directly coupled to the output of the input rectifier stage.
