Abstract:
An image read device in which an original document located on a platen glass is exposed to and scanned with a light from a light source, to obtain a light image representative of a picture on the original, and the light image is guided through an optical system including at least first to third mirror elements into an image pick-up unit, is improved in that the natural frequencies of the first to third mirror elements are different from each other. In the image read device, the thicknesses of the second and third mirror elements may be different from each other. Further, the thickness of the first mirror element may be larger than the width of the reflecting surface of the first mirror element as viewed in the slow scan direction.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus having a beam scanning optical system using a deflector having a deflecting member, wherein a resilient member is interposed between the optical system including said deflector and an image forming portion. The resilient member is made of a viscous resilient elastomer of low hardness.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus comprises: a guide portion that is linked to a driving portion and extends so as to guide the movement of a reading carriage; a guide rail that guides the reading carriage while supporting the reading carriage; and an interlocking portion that is provided in the reading carriage, has a first sliding surface that makes contact with the guide rail on the side of the guide rail facing the guide portion and a second sliding surface that makes contact with the guide rail on the side of the guide rail that is on the opposite side as the guide portion. The position at which the first sliding surface of the interlocking portion makes contact with the guide rail is lower on the guide rail than the position at which the second sliding surface of the interlocking portion makes contact with the guide rail.
Abstract:
In an exposure unit including: a laser scanning unit emitting a multiple number of beams; a polygon mirror for deflecting the multiple beams by reflection with the same facet; an optical system including optical elements for leading the beams correspondingly to a multiple number of photoreceptor drums laid out along an auxiliary scan direction, the bottom of a casing of the exposure unit to which the polygon mirror and the optical elements arranged along the directions of the beams emitted from the polygon mirror are attached is constructed so that the attachment portions of individual optical elements for each beam are differentiated in thickness from the areas where no attachment portion is formed.
Abstract:
A scan guide upon image reading by an image reading apparatus having a driving mechanism constructed by a rack and a pinion gear is stably performed. The pinion gear is provided on a downstream side of two contact portions which are in contact with a guide rail of the reading scan. A straight line drawn in a pressure angle direction from a contact point of the rack and the pinion gear upon reading and scanning passes between the two contact portions with the guide rail, so that a stable positional relation between a driving force of the gear and the contact portions is obtained. The stable guiding can be performed.
Abstract:
A beam deflector including a driving source for providing a rotation force, a beam deflection unit rotatably arranged on the driving source to deflect and scan an incident beam, and a cover member configured to cover the driving source and the beam deflection unit. The cover member has an aluminum foam layer located thereon to reduce vibration and noise occurring when the driving source and the beam deflection unit rotate.
Abstract:
A film scanner is configured with a broadband irradiation source and a film carrier. The film carrier has at least one light passage for a visible spectral channel, and the light passage is oriented to at least one photosensitive photodetector. The photosensitive photodetector is arranged in a housing, and the film carrier is connected to the housing.
Abstract:
A combination of an optical module and a transmitting and carrying structure includes an optical module, at least one carrying seat, and two rollers. The at least one carrying seat is combined with the optical module, for mounting the two rollers. The two rollers are located at the two opposite sides of the optical module. The two opposite sides of the optical module are perpendicular to the movement direction of the optical module. Thus, the at least one carrying seat and the two rollers are used to support and transmit the optical module, so that the optical module may be well balanced. In addition, the assembly height and the cost of fabrication are reduced.
Abstract:
When the speed of carriages that are moved in an image processing device is increased in order to accelerate the processing speed, the acquired image data is degraded due to vibrations being transmitted to the carriages from a motor which drives the carriages. The present invention provides a vibration damping mechanism for such image processing devices wherein weights are provided at selected positions on the transmission paths of the vibrations from the motor to the carriages in order to damp the vibrations. Preferably, the weights are made of a permanent magnet material and the housing is made of a material, such as steel, that is attracted by a magnet. This enables the weights to be attached at any desired positions, such as on the housing base plate, on the lower housing, and at perimeter walls of the housing which support the carriages where vibrations, without the weights, would be excessive.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a fixing seat of main transmission shaft of a scanner, wherein a conical hole is formed on the surface of a main transmission shaft whereon a scanning head can move, and a belt conveyor is used to wind around a timing pulley and an idle pulley. The timing pulley is driven to rotate by a motor device so that the belt conveyor can drive the scanning head to move on the main transmission shaft. One end of an axis of the timing pulley protruding out of the surface thereof forms a slanting conical end, which is fixed in the conical hole. The present invention has the advantages of high stability, good reliability, and a low manufacturing cost.
