Abstract:
A pipeline field joint abrasive blast cleaning machine is disclosed in which direct contact between the pipe to be cleaned and drive rollers of the machine ensure a constant, known distance exists between the blast nozzles of the machine and the pipe surface. This ensures uniform application of abrasive matter to ensure uniform cleaning of the pipe surface.
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a plating stripping device that is capable of quickly stripping plating from used plated magnets without reducing the weights of the recovered magnets and recycling the magnets to manufacture new magnets. To solve this problem, the present invention provides a plating stripping device characterized by being equipped with an abrasive projection unit for projecting an abrasive to a plated magnet, a magnet fixing unit for fixing the magnet, and a motor for rotating either the magnet fixing unit or the abrasive projection unit, and characterized in that the magnet fixing unit has a movable mechanism for changing the surface of the magnet that directly faces the abrasive projection unit.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus for removing the unnecessary thin-film layer on the periphery of the substrate of the plate-like member having a square shape, on the surface of which substrate is formed a thin-film layer. The apparatus comprises a chamber to treat the peripheral part where the peripheral part of the plate-like member is inserted and where the unnecessary thin-film layer on the peripheral part of the plate-like member is removed; and a means to move the plate-like member. The chamber to treat the peripheral part comprises a cover to prevent the scattering of the sprayed particles and the dust for treating the peripheral part, the cover having one of its end-sides that forms a ceiling being closed and having the other end-side that is opposed to the ceiling being open and a suctioning cover for treating the peripheral part, having an opening that has the same shape as the opening of the cover to prevent the scattering of the dust. In the chamber to treat the peripheral part, a blasting nozzle for spraying particles for treating the peripheral part is disposed on the cover to prevent the scattering of the dust, so that the mouth of the blasting nozzle is covered by the wall of the cover to prevent the scattering of the sprayed particles and the dust.
Abstract:
A method for producing a leaf spring having a leaf portion and an eye portion formed at the leaf portion including: forming a gap between a leading end of the eye and a facing surface facing the leading end, and shot peening an inner surface of the eye via a reflection member, wherein, at a cross section perpendicular to an axial direction of the eye portion, the leading end of the eye faces the facing surface so a straight line does not cross the leading end of the eye, the straight line connecting an intersection point and a center point of a reflection member surface, the intersection point being the intersection of a line perpendicular to the facing surface extending through an endpoint of the leaf side of the leading end of the eye to the surface.
Abstract:
A tool and method for cleaning the interior of a freight container of ISO type. The tool having a framework, a robot movably connected to the framework and provided with a nozzle for supplying dry ice. The robot and the nozzle are adapted to clean the interior of the container by means of dry ice blasting. An actuating unit is arranged to move the robot between the framework and the interior of the container. The tool is a portable unit and has a size and a design that allows a truck adapted for gripping and carrying freight containers of ISO type to grip and carry the tool in order to move the tool to and from the container to be cleaned.
Abstract:
A method for removing from a terrain (T) a buried longitudinal portion (P) of a substantially cylindrical pipe made of a ductile material and of a type suitable for use in oil pipelines, water pipelines, gas pipelines or the like, which method comprises steps of: digging at least an excavation (S1, S2) in the terrain (T), at a longitudinal end (P1, P2) of the buried portion (P) to be removed, such as to make the end accessible; making at least a through-cut in the wall of the portion (P) of pipe to be removed, so as to obtain at least a strip having two opposite longitudinal edges which define a width of the strip that is smaller than a circumference of a wall of the portion (P) of pipe; taking the strip and removing it from the terrain, passing it through the excavation (S1, S2); and obstructing the underground volume that has housed the portion (P) of the pipe (P) and the excavation (S1, S2) with filler material. The invention also relates to a cutting machine comprising: a cutting part (11), entirely insertable in said portion of pipe (P), comprising cutting means (41) for making at least a through-cut in the wall of the portion of pipe; and a support part (12), for supporting the cutting part (11), also entirely insertable in the portion of pipe (P), and comprising abutting means (31, 32, 33) for contemporaneously abutting, at a plurality of points, an internal surface of the portion of pipe so as to engage the machine (1) to the portion of pipe (P) to be cut.
Abstract:
A blast processing device includes a first nozzle, a second nozzle, and a moving mechanism. The first nozzle blasts a blasting material toward a workpiece, using first compressed air. The second nozzle blasts second compressed air for adjusting a diffusion range of the blasting material. The moving mechanism moves the first nozzle and the second nozzle over the workpiece.
Abstract:
An apparatus for and a method of prepping a surface of a cylinder bore using a pulsed waterjet entails generating a signal having a frequency f using a signal generator, applying the signal to generate a pulsed waterjet through an exit orifice of a nozzle having an exit orifice diameter d and a length L. The pulsed waterjet prepares the surface to within a predetermined range of surface roughness. The surface roughness is determined by selecting operating parameters comprising a standoff distance (SD), a traverse velocity VTR of the nozzle, a water pressure P, a water flow rate Q, a length-to-diameter (L/d) ratio, the frequency f, and an amplitude A of the signal.
Abstract:
A multi-axis machine includes a controller operable to control a nozzle which ejects a particulate material relative to a part surface to maintain a compound angle and predetermined stand off distance to remove surface and near-surface crack initiation sites.
