    摘要: A feeder includes a carrier and a feeder arm that moves between retracted and extended positions. The feeder also includes a first actuation member that is coupled to the carrier and that is configured to move relative to the carrier in a first direction. The first actuation member has a first aperture at least partially defined by a first edge. Additionally, the feeder includes a second actuation member that is coupled to the carrier and that is configured to move relative to the carrier in a second direction. The second actuation member has a second aperture at least partially defined by a second edge. A projection of the feeder arm is received within both the first and second apertures. Movement of the first actuation member in the first direction causes the first edge to engage the projection for movement of the feeder arm between the retracted position and the extended position. Also, movement of the second actuation member in the second direction causes the second edge to engage the projection for movement of the feeder arm between the retracted position and the extended position.

When the bringing pins (2) are engaged with the yarn carrier at the engagement points (4a, 4b) near the rear side thereof in the travel direction, the yarn carrier, as an inlay carrier, feeds the yarn in preference to the knitting operation so that the yarn is not applied to the knitting needle performing the knitting operation by the carriage. When the projection portions (6a, 6b) of engagement releasing members (5a, 5b) are pressed by the contact thereof with the stopper, the engagement releasing members (5a, 5b) are moved backward, and slope portions (7a, 8a; 7b, 8b) push up the bringing pins (2) engaged with the yarn carrier at the engagement points (3a, 4a; 3b, 4b) so as to release the engagement.

Assuming that the carriage 3 approaches from the right with the pin 4 protruding in order to select and haul the yarn carrier 1 stationary on a yarn guide rail 2, the tip of the pin 4 is guided on a guide portion 11b of an oscillating piece 11, and a tip portion 11c prevents engagement with the engagement point 9 by making oscillation displacement about a shaft 11a. The pin 4 is guided to the engagement point 8 by guide portions 13a, 12a of oscillating plates 13, 12, and abuts on a tip portion 10c of an oscillating piece 10, which is engaged with the front side of the pin 4. The oscillating plate 12 also departs from the pin 4, and a tip portion 12c ascends to be engaged with the rear side of the pin 4.

    摘要: An end yarn inserting device that is so constructed that an end yarn hook can be put into action only when necessary but otherwise be retreated to such a position in the vicinity of a needle bed gap as to avoid interfering with knitting members including a yarn feeder and knitting needles. The end yarn inserting device includes guide rails, an end yarn inserting portion including an end yarn hook, and first and second control portions for controllably moving the end yarn hook to a desired position on the needle bed in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction, wherein an end yarn hook having a hook portion for retaining a cross-over yarn thereon and an end yarn hook presser foot having a presser foot portion are superposed on each other and swingably journaled around a journal portion provided on a base sidably supported on the guide rail; wherein the end yarn hook and the end yarn hook presser foot are so arranged as to be swung between their retreated positions and their lowered positions in association with the second control portion; and wherein control means for permitting back and forth swinging motions of the hook portion and the hook presser foot are provided between the end yarn hook and the base.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for the production of endless tubular fabrics on a flatbed knitting machine. Two methods are described in which the tube is knitted in one case with vertical axis and in another case with horizontal axis. In the first case, tubes of any desired length can be produced. In the second case, tubes of any desired diameter can be produced. In the first method, a first half of the circumference of the tube is knitted on a front needle bed, whereupon the second half of the circumference is knitted on the rear needle bed upon the backward movement of the cam carriage of the flatbed knitting machine. Thereupon, the second course of loops is knitted on the first needle bed and knitted backward in the second needle bed. In this way an endless tube is knitted. The tube is stabilized in circumferential direction by the laying-in of a filling thread. In the other method, the first course is knitted as connected multi-layer knitted fabric on the front and rear needle beds. The following courses are knitted separately on the front and rear needle beds, and, in the last course, the separately knitted courses are again connected as connected two-layer course, so that the tube is closed. The tube is stabilized in circumferential direction by warp threads.
