Abstract: A control method and device for a low-temperature cooling air valve include: obtaining an actual system pressure, an ambient temperature, and a system energy requirement; and determining an opening degree pre according to the actual system pressure, the ambient temperature, and the system energy requirement. The control method is employed to perform combined control on the low-temperature cooling air valve according to the system high pressure, the ambient temperature and the system energy requirement, and can refine the range of opening degrees of the low-temperature cooling air valve and determine an opening degree thereof, thereby facilitating cooling operation of a multi-split air conditioning system in an ultra-low temperature environment, while also increasing the reliability of the cooling operation at low temperature and expanding the operation range.

Abstract: A method for controlling flow in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes adjusting a setpoint associated with a valve based on a temperature change across a heating or cooling coil to reduce energy waste. The method includes receiving a first temperature measurement associated with an inlet of the coil, receiving a second temperature measurement associated with an outlet of the coil, calculating a difference between the first temperature measurement and the second temperature measurement, determining that the difference between the first temperature measurement and the second temperature measurement is below a threshold, and adjusting a setpoint associated with the valve. Additional control features may be provided to improve system behavior such as a pulse generation feature, a change-limiting feature, and a reevaluation feature.

Abstract: A multi-split air conditioning system and liquid return prevention control method thereof. When the multi-split air conditioning system is in heating operation, the multi-split air conditioning system is switched to a defrosting mode to operate for defrosting if an outdoor unit receives a defrosting instruction. After detecting gas exhaust pressure, gas return pressure and gas exhaust temperature of a compressor in real time, the multi-split air conditioning system sends a defrosting completion signal to a diverter, controls the compressor to reduce frequency and a plurality of electric-control valves to open, and controls any one of the electric-control valves to open and the rest of the electric-control valves to close during reversing of a four-way valve, so as to reduce the amount of a refrigerant returned to a low-pressure gas-liquid separator.

Abstract: A valve assembly may include: a valve body with a fluid path extending between the inlet port and the outlet port; a valve member with a closed position blocking the fluid path and an open position; a sensor the fluid flow; an actuator coupled to the valve member; and a controller for the actuator with a set point value and a default flow rate indicative of nominal flow through the fluid path. The controller may: read the sensor; calculate a flow rate; compare the flow rate to a threshold value indicative of substantially zero flow rate; and if the measure of flow rate is below the threshold value, calculate a position of the valve member directly from the set point value and the default flow rate, produce a control signal from the calculated position, and communicate the control signal to the actuator.

A liquid injection pipe that branches part of a refrigerant flowing through an outdoor liquid-refrigerant pipe and feeds the branched refrigerant to a compressor is connected to a portion of the outdoor liquid-refrigerant pipe on a side of an outdoor heat exchanger with respect to a liquid-pressure adjustment expansion valve.

The controller determines a valve opening-degree control range that is a control range of an opening degree of the flow control valve of each indoor unit, based on a flow-passage resistance depending on a length of a pipe that extends from the heat-medium transfer device to the indoor unit, such that the lower the flow-passage resistance, the smaller the valve opening-degree control range.

Abstract: A low ambient cooling system for a variable refrigerant flow heat pump includes an outdoor air conditioning unit and an indoor air conditioning unit. The outdoor air conditioning unit includes an outdoor heat exchanger with one or more valves that selectively control refrigerant flow through different sections of condenser coils during a low ambient cooling mode. During the low ambient cooling mode, the condenser coils of the outdoor heat exchanger include an active coil section through which refrigerant flows and an inactive coil section that is closed. An outdoor-coil restrictor plate with holes is attached to the active condenser coil in the outdoor air conditioning unit. The outdoor-coil restrictor plate restricts excessive heat release from the active coil section of the condenser coils in the outdoor heat exchanger during the low ambient cooling mode.

The method comprises gathering readings from the one or more sensors, determining a cost and power consumption associated with setting values for a plurality of control variables associated with the one or more chiller plants, selecting values for the control variables with a minimum cost as optimized control variable values and applying the optimized control variable values to the plurality of control variables to minimize power consumption of the cooling system.

Abstract: A method of judging lack-of-freon in an air conditioner and an air conditioner control method. The control method includes: acquiring outflow air temperatures at the first air outlet and the second air outlet, and calculating a temperature difference; comparing the temperature difference with a preset temperature difference threshold; and adjusting an opening degree of the expansion valve accordingly. In the method, the opening degree of the expansion valve can be automatically adjusted according to a result of temperature comparison to compensate for the flow rate of freon, so as to improve the cooling or heating efficiency of the air conditioning system and realize the adaptive adjustment of the air conditioner, thereby ensuring the cooling or heating efficiency of the system even if the system lacks freon to a slight extent and effectively reducing energy consumption. The judging method has a higher accuracy of judging result, and is easier to implement.
