摘要: Bandwidth-selectable acoustic emission apparatus and methods for transmitting time-averaged signal data are described. An example apparatus includes an integrated external preamplifier device having a bandwidth-selectable analog filter and a data extractor. The integrated external preamplifier device is to receive an analog acoustic emission signal generated via an acoustic emission sensor operatively coupled to the integrated external preamplifier device. The bandwidth-selectable analog filter is to filter the analog acoustic emission signal based on a software-programmed bandwidth to generate a filtered analog acoustic emission signal. The data extractor is to extract a time-averaged analog signal from the filtered analog acoustic emission signal, and to transmit the time-averaged analog signal from the integrated external preamplifier device to an external data acquisition system.

摘要: Within the scope of the invention, a device for monitoring the quality of a fuel stored in a fuel tank has been developed. The main field of application is diesel-operated vehicles. The fuel is therefore preferably diesel fuel. The device is defined by the fact that means for determining the boiling point of the fuel are provided. Furthermore, a method for monitoring the quality of a fuel stored in a fuel tank has also been developed within the scope of the invention. The main field of application is diesel-operated vehicles. The fuel is therefore preferably diesel fuel. The method is defined by the fact that the boiling point of the fuel or a deviation of this boiling point from a normal value is measured. During the analysis of real injection pumps which have failed it has been detected that an excessively low boiling point of the fuel can cause the fuel to outgas. As a result, bubbles in which the necessary lubrication is no longer provided locally form in the injection pump. Furthermore, the lubricating effect is dependent on the fuel having a certain minimum viscosity. A low boiling point is also correlated with a low viscosity. Therefore, overall, the boiling point (initial boiling point, IBP) is a particularly good indicator especially of those deviations from standard values for the fuel which entail particularly costly damage.

The evaluator evaluates the soundness of the structure on the basis of the acquired reliability.

An example integrated external preamplifier device includes a data extractor, a process variable determiner, a status indication determiner, and a presentation device. The data extractor extracts signal data from the acoustic emission signal. The process variable determiner determines process variable data based on the extracted signal data. The process variable data includes at least one of flow rate data, flow capacity data, flow area data, flow velocity data, mass accumulation data, or volume accumulation data. The status indication determiner determines status indication data based on the process variable data. The presentation device presents at least one of the process variable data or the status indication data at the integrated external preamplifier device.

摘要: A system for detecting an abnormality of rotating machines includes two or more devices for detecting an abnormality and a computer. The respective devices include a sensor for detecting vibration of the respective rotating machines and generating signals indicative of the vibration, and a transmitting unit for transmitting the signals to the computer. The computer includes a sampler for sampling the signals with a sampling frequency and outputting, at a time at intervals of a predetermined period, a plurality of the data detected and sampled within the predetermined period, a storage for storing the data, a frequency analyzer for analyzing the frequencies of the data, a determination unit for determining whether the machines have an abnormality based on the results of the frequency analysis, and a display unit for displaying, in chronological order and in real time, the results of the frequency analysis and displaying the results of the determination.
