摘要: An anti-counterfeiting mechanism for a filter element to specifically, and preferably uniquely, identify a filter with a conductive pattern or path of conductive materials preferably either embedded (thin film circuit) under the surface, or over molded on, a portion of the filter. The conductive materials are preferably positioned at the filter end cap. The resistance of the filter element is an identifier that is preferably associated with the OEM manufacturer's labeling (such as product number) and/or other branding of the component. This electrical resistance signature permits rapid identification of counterfeit filters.

摘要: A filter element may include a tubular element, first and second end caps, each associated with an opposite end of the tubular element, filter media positioned around the tubular element and between the first and second end caps, a biasing element associated with the tubular element, and a retainer element positioned at a first end of the tubular element. The retainer element may include a retainer aperture including a central circular portion and two opposite lateral slots extending from opposite sides of the central circular portion, and two arcuate shoulder segments extending between opposite sides of the two opposite lateral slots. A full tab may extend a first axial distance from a bottom surface of one of the two arcuate shoulder segments at a circumferential position in between the two opposite lateral slots, and a partial tab may extend a second axial distance less than the first axial distance from a bottom surface of the other of the two arcuate shoulder segments at a circumferential position on an opposite side of the lateral slots from the full tab.

摘要: A method of improving fuel efficiency in a diesel fuel internal combustion engine on a vehicle includes providing a combustion system including a fuel tank, an engine, and a fuel line disposed between the fuel tank and the engine. A heat exchanger is positioned on the fuel line between the fuel tank and the engine. Working thermal fluid is passed from a reservoir through the heat exchanger while fuel is passed through the heat exchanger, increasing the temperature of the fuel passing through the heat exchanger. A vibration isolation mount is installed between the heat exchanger and the vehicle, thereby reducing vibration of the heat exchanger during use of the vehicle. Heated fuel from the heat exchanger is delivered to the engine, improving the fuel efficiency of the engine by burning the heated fuel.

摘要: A valve device for a fuel filter module has a first fluid channel through which fuel flows only in recirculation mode of the fuel filter module and a second fluid channel through which fuel flows only outside of the recirculation mode. 摘要: An oil filter adapter device may be used to enable an engine or other machine that was manufactured for using cartridge oil filters to use spin-on oil filters. In some examples, the oil filter adapter may have a docking collar for coupling with an engine, a cylindrical base for coupling with an oil filter housing, and an attachment piece for coupling with a spin-on oil filter. The oil filter adapter may also have a spring disposed between the docking collar and the cylindrical base such that the docking collar is compressible relative to the cylindrical base to allow the oil filter adapter is able to couple to a variety of oil filter housings ranging in size and shape.
