摘要: A fuel system is disclosed that is capable of operating in multiple combustion modes. A method is also disclosed of operating a dual fuel engine in conjunction with the fuel system. The method may include detecting a performance parameter of gaseous fuel in the fuel system. The method may also include selecting a combustion mode from a plurality of combustion modes based on the performance parameter. The method may further include injecting gaseous fuel and liquid fuel into at least one cylinder of the engine according to an injection timing corresponding to the selected combustion mode.

摘要: A temperature-controllable engine fuel supply device is used to feed fuel into a fuel inlet (40) of an engine (40). The temperature-controllable engine fuel supply device includes a fuel tank (1) for receiving the fuel, a cooling unit (2) and a nozzle (3). The cooling unit (2) communicates with the fuel tank (1) to cool the fuel. The nozzle (3) is disposed corresponding to the fuel inlet (40) to jet the fuel toward the fuel inlet (40). A cooling path (P) through which the fuel passes is from the cooling unit (2), through the nozzle (3), to the fuel inlet (40). A temperature sensor (21), (23) is installed on the cooling path (P) to detect temperature of the fuel, so temperature of the fuel is controlled to be within an ideal range before the fuel enters the engine (4).

摘要: A system and method are provided for controlling fuel rail pressure in a common rail fuel injection system. A desired rail pressure value is determined based on signals produced by one or more sensors, a feedback PCV control signal is determined based on a difference between the desired rail pressure value and a fuel rail pressure signal, a feedforward PCV signal is determined based on the desired rail pressure value, and a PCV control signal for controlling a pressure control valve fluidly coupled to the fuel rail is determined based on the feedback PCV control signal and the feedforward PCV control signal. The pressure control valve signal is correlated with the temperature of fuel exiting the pressure control valve such that operation of the pressure control valve in response to the PCV control signal results in a valve outlet orifice size which controls the temperature exiting fuel.

摘要: An internal combustion engine comprises a fuel injector 31, a spark plug 16, a piston 14 having a cavity 91, a swirl control device 95, and a control system 70. The cavity is formed so as to change in distance from the fuel injector to a side wall surface of the cavity, in the circumferential direction. The system performs ignition assist control for successively performing injections of main fuel and ignition assist fuel, makes an air-fuel mixture formed by the ignition assist fuel burn by flame propagation by the spark plug, and makes the remaining fuel burn by pre-mix compression self-ignition. The system controls the swirl control device during the ignition assist control so that when the engine load is high, the fuel sprayed heads toward parts of the side wall surface which are short in distances from the fuel injector.

A fuel inlet conduit and a fuel outlet conduit are in flow connection with the pump chamber, the fuel inlet conduit being provided with a first one-way valve and the fuel outlet conduit being provided with a second one-way valve. A temperature sensor is in thermally conductive contact with the pump body.
