摘要： A filter assembly for a fuel injector is provided. The filter assembly includes a first ring. The first ring includes a plurality of first apertures provided along a circumference thereof. The filter assembly also includes a second ring disposed concentrically with respect to the first ring. The second ring includes a plurality of second apertures provided along a circumference thereof. Each of the plurality of second apertures is disposed misaligned with respect to each of the plurality of first apertures respectively. The filter assembly further includes an actuation mechanism operably coupled to the second ring. The actuation mechanism is adapted to selectively rotate the second ring about an axis with respect to the first ring to, at least partially, align each of the plurality of first apertures with respect to each of the plurality of second apertures respectively to provide an unfiltered flow of a fluid through the filter assembly.

摘要： This description presents liquid filter comprising filter housing containing all parts of the filter; filtering element trapping impurities present in liquid being filtered; solid support element preventing filtering element from getting deformed, filter housing cover, and other components.The most important element presented in this description is filter support stem enabling the use of filter with extreme pressure levels of the filtered liquid (up to 300 MPa) and sudden changes to these levels. The support stem prevents filtering element from getting deformed to the extent that would render it unfunctional.One of the possible applications of the filter presented herein is filtering high-pressure diesel fuel between high-pressure pump and injectors.An important feature of this liquid filter is that it is not integrated into other standard parts of fuel system, but added to fuel system as separate component that can be easily replaced without replacing other parts of the system.To improve durability and ensure reusability of filtering element of liquid filter this element is made of metal or other material possessing similar properties.

The second guide section comprises a tube, wherein the first guide section (1a) and the tip section (2a) are comprised in an integrated inner needle component (7) extending through the tube (3). A method of manufacturing such a needle is also described.

摘要： A tubular debris shield and diverter mounted in a high pressure flow passage within a fuel injector, provide the dual functions of passing the main flow of high pressure fuel with large debris particles to relatively large discharge openings, such as the injector spray holes, while allowing some high pressure fuel to flow through a multitude of very small transverse holes to a sensitive hydraulic component, such an injector control valve circuit. In one embodiment, the tube has a wall thickness in the range of about 0.1 to 0.5 mm at least about 2000 holes with a diameter in the range of about 20 to 30 microns.

In some embodiments, the filter assembly has a longitudinal axis and comprises a filter element, a filter housing, and a cap. The filter element may have a cylindrical section with a first axial end and a second axial end. The tubular filter housing may receive the filter element. The tubular filter housing may include a radial protrusion supporting the first axial end of the cylindrical section when the filter element is received therein. The cap may hold the filter element at the second axial end and encompass the filter housing along an outer circumference. The second axial end may rest directly against the cap.
