A shears frame mounts a movable shears blade and the frame is movable back and forth along one edge of the support table. In addition to the movable blade, the shears frame mounts a circular saw in spaced relation to the movable blade. The circular saw is movable on the shears frame in the up and down direction relative to the support table. Further, the cutting line of the circular saw is parallel to the cutting line of the movable blade.

摘要： To cut strips in the length direction from long sheet metal plates, a tableupports the plate and a cutting device moves along the length of the plate supported on the table for cutting the desired strip in a series of cutting steps. The cutting device includes a bottom cutter and a top cutter with the top cutter being movable toward and away from the bottom cutter for making partial cuts across the length of the plate. The cutting device is moved along the support table in the length direction of the plate. After completing the cutting of a strip, the cutting device can be reversed to cut another strip as it moves in the opposite direction. Movable clamps hold the plate down during the cutting operation. Further, movable members are provided in the support table to support the strip as it is cut in successive steps.

摘要： An encoder arrangement for machines having a rotating worm shaft which controls the movement of a working part and which has an optical disc on the shaft whose movement is photoelectrically sensed and interpreted by a controller to govern drive mechanism for moving the part in accordance with a program. The disc and photoelectric sensing means are contained in a dust-proof casing mounted on the machine and surrounding the shaft. The disc is in the form of companion segments which are clamped to each other and about the shaft. The casing is in the form of companion shells which are mounted on the machine casing and are connected to each other about the shaft. A preferred use of the encoder arrangement is with paper cutting machines of the type having a backstop movable along a worm shaft.

摘要： An improved hydraulic fluid shock dampening system is disclosed for a shearing press to minimize shock loading vibration, and the level of noise emanating upon breakthrough of the material being sheared. The system includes cylinder and piston units interposed between the press bed and slide, each providing a variable volume fluid receiving chamber from which fluid under pressure is expelled during movement of the slide toward the bed to achieve a shearing operation. A flow sensitive valve in communication with the chambers has a first fixed flow rate thereacross during the shearing operation, and prior to breakthrough, and is responsive to accelerated movement of the slide upon breakthrough to provide a second and substantially lower fixed flow rate thereacross during completion of the movement of the slide toward the press bed.

The adjustable holding of the lower shearing tool is done in such a manner that the horizontal clearance between the upper and lower shearing tools may be changed in lateral, forward and backward directions independently.

Adjusting wedge assemblies, with screw drives and manually operable cranks facilitate adjustment of blade clearance, and hydraulically energized pressure pads maintain zero clearance between ram guide slides and guideway blocks therefor. Ram drive is by one or another of two hydraulic cylinders operating through a rocker shaft and linkage connected to the ram, and hydraulic clamps secure the work.
