    摘要: Method and Apparatus for fabricating a spacer frame for use in an insulating glass unit. One of a multiple number of possible spacer frame materials is chosen for the spacer frame. An elongated strip of the material is moved to a notching station where notches are formed at corner locations. The character of the notches is adjusted based on the selection of the metal strip material and more particularly to achieve bending of the material in an repeatable, straightforward manner. Better control over the notching process is also achieved by exhaust flow control of a double acting cylinder. A positioning spacer achieve very accurate side to side positioning of a die and anvil to precisely notch and deform the metal strip. Downstream from the notching station the metal strip is bent into a channel shaped elongated frame member having side walls. Further downstream a leading strip of channel shaped material is severed or separated from succeeding material still passing through the notching and bending station.

    摘要: A machine for creating holes in a structural angle, including parallel plates including (1) an earth plate perpendicular to an axial direction and positionable at a fixed position relative to the structural angle, (2) a top plate mounting a workpiece tool, (3) a bottom plate spaced a fixed distance from the top plate, both plates being supported for axial movement relative to the earth plate, and (4) a support plate between the earth plate and the top plate and supported for axial movement relative to the earth plate. The support plate is biased toward the top plate and away from the earth plate. A first stop limits movement of the bottom plate toward the earth plate and a second stop limits movement of the support plate away from the earth plate. A drive selectively moves the support and bottom plates axially away from each other.

    摘要: A method, and an apparatus, for operating a hydraulic shearing machine. For cutting a shearing-movement of at least one shear blade which is curved, starting from a starting-position under application of an overall actuating-force and for resetting of the shear blades which were moved for cutting to their starting-position after accomplishment of the shearing-movement, a reset-movement under application of an overall reset-force. The shearing-movement and the reset-movement are accomplished by a hydraulic actuating-mechanism comprising hydraulic cylinders, wherein the overall actuating-force and the overall reset-force being applied to the moved shear blades by at least one hydraulic cylinder of the actuating-mechanism. The magnitude of the overall actuating-force is adjustable by switching one or several hydraulic cylinders of the actuating-mechanism in and out of operation-mode. The method proposes that the positions of the curved shear blade are controlled by a control system by regulating the flow of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinders according to setpoints for a shear blade position versus time function and the overall actuating-force and overall reset-force requirements.

    摘要: A press for forming a workpiece with a tooling set includes an actuator assembly carrying a movable half or punch of the tooling set and having a two phase operation. In the first phase the actuator provides relatively low force in moving the punch to an intermediate position in close proximity to the workpiece. A sensor detects the position of the punch, and when the punch reaches the intermediate position provides a continue signal. The second phase of actuator operation is conditioned on occurrence of the continue signal, and uses normal high force to press the movable tooling half against the workpiece to complete the operation. The low force first phase allows obstructions of any kind to stop movement of the punch during the first phase before high force applied to the actuator may cause damage or injury to the obstruction. In a preferred embodiment the actuator assembly has hydraulic operation.

    摘要: A venetian blind cutting machine including a support framework, a cutter module replaceably mounted on a top of the support framework, two air cylinders for driving cutters mounted in the cutter module, two sets of quick couplings for connecting the air cylinders to an upper cutter, a strip cutter, and a lower cutter mounted in a cutter seat of the cutter module, a blind supporter pivotally connected to the support framework in front of the cutter module for stably supporting a venetian blind to be cut, and a blind locating assembly fixedly mounted behind the cutter module for adjustably deciding the length of the venetian blind to extend into the cutter module for cut. With the cutter module containing three cutters for an upper rail, strips, and a lower rail of the venetian blind and the two air cylinders connected to the cutters via the quick couplings, the cutters can be driven by the air cylinders to neatly cut the rails and strips of the blind by only one cut. Moreover, a different cutter module can be quickly replaced to cut venetian blind having differently shaped rails and strips.

    摘要: The invention relates to a press driven work tool module comprising a power unit and a work unit. Each unit comprises a fluid filled cylinder, a piston for reciprocation therein, and a piston rod. Hydraulic fluid within the power stroke displacement space of the power cylinder is in communication with hydraulic fluid in the work displacement space of the work cylinder, and hydraulic fluid within the return displacement space of the power cylinder is in communication with hydraulic fluid within the return stroke displacement space of the work cylinder. The power cylinder is provided with a moving top plate connected to the power piston rod and a spring arrangement for urging the top plate and power piston rod to the return position, such that a drive force acting on the power piston rod moves the power piston and work piston to the power and work ends of the respective cylinders against the spring bias. The system is hydraulic and eliminates the need for pressurized gas, avoiding problems such as contamination, worn seals, loss of pressure over time, and need for recharging.

The work unit has two distinct lateral portions located on each side of two vertical guide sleeves and serving as supports for a vertical driving wheel and a vertical guide wheel of the saw-blades, the work run of which is placed horizontally above the location of the workpiece. Two vertical columns forming part of the moving unit are slidably mounted within the two vertical sleeves, the lower ends of which are fixed on the horizontal table. The ends of the vertical columns are rigidly fixed to two horizontal cross-members which are located respectively at the top and at the bottom and which connect together the two lateral portions of the moving work unit so as to form a closed frame.

    摘要: A scrap shearing machine suitable for cutting up plate-like scrap material comprises two pairs of knives each pair of which consists of a movable knife and a stationary knife. The pairs are arranged to cut the scrap material successively and the knives of one pair are set to cut in a plane which lies at an angle of preferably at least 30.degree. to the plane of cut of the knives of the other pair. The movable knives are carried on supports which are arranged counter to each other and are movable independently of each other and inlet and outlet openings are provided in a housing within which the knives operate. The inlet opening which is for the scrap material to be cut and the outlet opening which is for the cut pieces of scrap are aligned with each other, one opening being on one side of the cutting plane of one pair of knives and the other opening being on the remote side of the cutting plane of the other pair of knives. Further, the knife supports are constructed as rams and are arranged to clamp the scrap material between them during cutting.
