摘要: The caterpillar track attachment is provided for a vehicle having a drive shaft and a steering mechanism. The attachment comprises a pair of endless caterpillar tracks for propelling the vehicle, a frame for supporting the vehicle, drive devices to be operatively connected to the drive shaft and engaging the tracks for transmitting motive power from the drive shaft to the tracks, and a hydraulic device to be coupled to the steering mechanism for providing at least one hydraulic fluid outlet controlled by commands from the steering mechanism. The frame has securing devices for connecting the vehicle onto the frame, and a pair of spaced apart elongated side members around which the tracks are respectively mounted. Each of the members has front and rear sets of wheels located substantially at its front and rear extremities for guiding therearound the corresponding track, and straight slides located at its lower portion between the corresponding rear and front sets of wheels for guiding the corresponding track. The attachment can be adapted to the vehicle by connecting operatively the drive devices to the drive shaft, by connecting the frame to the vehicle by the securing devices, and by coupling the steering mechanism to the hydraulic device.

摘要: A mounting frame for a moldboard of a motor grader is provided with first and second retainers having V-shaped notches that cooperate with V-shaped engagement portion located on the mounting rails of the moldboard. Each of the V-shaped notches are provided with first and second wear strips defining the wings of the V-shaped notch. The wear strips have a sliding surface in sliding contact with the mounting rails and a contact surface which contacts the adjoining wear strip in the V-shaped notch. Locating protuberances are located at each end of the wear strips and cooperate with retainer clips to hold the wear strips in proper position. The ends of the wear strips are also provided with abutment surfaces which contact the base of the retainer clips.

摘要: A hydraulic drive system utilizes four hydraulic motors arranged in mechanically coupled pairs with one motor from each pair always series hydraulically connected to one motor from the other pair. The other motors are selectively coupled parallel with each other or in series with the series connected motors. The combination of mechanical and hydraulic coupling provides an efficient drive system designed specifically for, but not limited to, the motor grader apparatus. The improved drive system herein disclosed provides both high speed-low power and low speed-high power operational modes and is capable of continuous operation in either mode. The improved drive system also provides superior control characteristics due to the hydraulic motor series lockup arrangement. The combination of mechanical and hydraulic coupling provides high power with good control or high speed with little heating of the hydraulic fluid.

摘要: Improved support structure for the blade of a bulldozer and the like wherein a first push arm is attached for swiveling movement to the tractor frame near the rear end thereof and extends into swiveling connection with the blade and a second push arm is attached to the opposite side of the tractor frame for swiveling movement relative thereto and extends to the blade and is pivotally connected thereto. A second end of the second push arm has a pair of spaced pivotal connections to the blade to provide lateral stability between the blade and the second push arm. An adjustable strut mounted on the first push arm is pivotally connected with the blade. A tilt cylinder is mounted on the second push arm and is connected with the blade. Actuation of the tilt cylinder in cooperation with the strut causes tilting of the blade. Bending stresses are avoided in the push arms due to the swivel connection between the push arm and the tractor frame and the swivel connection between the first push arm and the blade.

摘要: For use in detachably mounting an implement to a vehicle, the vehicle having associated therewith an adjustable take-up frame having at least one coupling element arranged to coact in engagement with a counter-coupling element on the implement, the improvement comprising: a mounting plate arranged on the implement in a substantially vertical plane extending transversely with respect to the working direction of the implement and the vehicle, the counter-coupling element being in the form of an open hook secured to and protruding rearwardly from the upper portion of said mounting plate, and the coupling element being in the form of a horizontal pin extending between two laterally spaced cheek plates, the said cheek plates forming part of the take-up frame, with said horizontal pin being arranged for engagement beneath said hook as the latter is received between said cheek plates.

摘要: Tractor front loaders have sometimes been provided with struts enabling them to be locked in raised position. These struts have had to be moved bodily between operative and inoperative positions. To avoid the need for bodily movement, the struts are made telescopic and are pivotable on loader support frames fixed to opposite sides of the tractor. Loader booms, and the rams of ram-and-cylinder assemblies for pivoting the booms, are pivotable on the support frames in known manner. The struts comprise inner and outer channel sections and are pivotable between retracted inoperative positions in which they are secured to the support frames and extended operative positions in which they are secured in contact with the adjacent ends of the cylinders of the extended assemblies.

摘要: A traction vehicle includes a frame module formed principally from a plurality of platelike structural elements permanently fixed together to provide substantial rigidity for supplying and withstanding relatively large forces. Elongated boxlike drive assembly housings define the outer transverse longitudinal edges of the frame module, and a plurality of vertically-spaced, transversely-extending plate members connect the laterally positioned drive assembly housings in the frame module. End members extend transversely of the longitudinal ends of the frame module for applying the high forces from the vehicle. A plurality of driving wheel members are positioned outwardly from the drive assembly housings, and one separate power train assembly supplies reversible motive traction power simultaneously to all the driving wheel members on each lateral side of the vehicle. An operator's cab is positioned above the frame module, the sidewalls of the cab slope outwardly and define an octagonal cab structure. An implement socket defining a rectangular socketlike structure receives the end of the frame module to operatively attach an implement, such as an earthmoving blade assembly, to the frame module. The implement is attached to the implement socket by apparatus which maintains a selected angle of application or cutting angle of the implement to the earth material with changes in relative elevation of the frame module end and the bladelike implement during use. The attaching apparatus further allows for selective adjustment of the cutting angle, and selective rotation of the attaching apparatus and implement with respect to a horizontal and longitudinal axis through the vehicle.

摘要: An angled bulldozer blade for an earthmoving machine is operatively connected to a slider assembly slidably carried on a rail fastened to each side arm of a C-frame. Removable pins engage with each slider assembly and pass into aligned apertures of a plurality of prelocated apertures in the rail to position the slider assembly for setting the blade in a desired angled position. Self-locking latches are provided for retaining the pins in position. Eight apertures in each side rail are located so as to provide five positions for the slider assembly.

摘要: A center support member for a tiltable swivelling grading blade on an earthmoving machine which prevents the occurence of internal stresses in the blade generated by tilting of the blade is in the form of a ball and socket joint attached to the center rear of the blade and to a carrier frame on the machine. A shaft slidable in a sleeved mounting carries the ball portion of the joint at one end and the other end of the shaft is spring urged towards the blade by spring means in the sleeved mounting. Stop means in the sleeved mounting limit the stroke of the shaft. Additionally, a piston engaged by the spring means in a chamber in the sleeved mounting is arranged to force lubricant through a feed line to the shaft in response to axial movement of the shaft.

摘要: A push frame assembly for a scraper bowl is provided with a tubular structural member extending between, and being rigidly fastened directly to, the side walls of the push frame. A push block and a spreader tube are, likewise, connected between the side walls to produce a relatively rigid frame assembly. In one form of the invention, the tubular structural member has a transverse sleeve therethrough through which an ejector cylinder passes, while in another form of the invention, the tubular structural member has provision for receiving a differential and has reinforced mounts on the one side thereof for connection of ejector cylinders thereto. A method of making a push frame assembly is provided wherein a pair of side walls are fastened directly to a tubular member with a spreader tube and a push block framework connected to the side walls to produce a stronger push frame assembly.
