    摘要: Circuits and methods are disclosed for determining a ground path impedance difference in a vehicle having master and slave control. An example circuit for detecting a difference in ground path impedance in a vehicle includes a master ground terminal and a slave ground terminal. The circuit also includes a first shunt resistor electrically coupled between the master ground terminal and a common internal ground, and a second shunt resistor electrically coupled between the slave ground terminal and the common internal ground. The circuit further includes a bi-directional current sense amplifier having as inputs the master ground terminal and the slave ground terminal.

    摘要: A lightning strike alarm system using a Bipolar Conventional Air Terminal (BCAT) is provided. The lightning strike alarm system using BCAT including a rod element to which a ground charge is electrified and an electrification plate-cone or an electrification plate-tube electrified by a thunderstorm cloud, includes a luminescence unit to be electrically connected to the rod element and the electrification plate-cone or the electrification plate-tube and emits light by electric energy electrified to the electrification plate-cone or the electrification plate-tube by the thunderstorm cloud. The lightning strike alarm system enables a user to find that an impulse current of the thunderstorm is normally and safely flown to the ground, and thus, the user may have psychological security.

    摘要: This invention discloses a power electronic converter that has a common reference point for the measurement of voltages and currents, making it possible to use non-isolated or isolated voltage and current sensors. The disclosed converter has an N-type power electronic conversion leg that consists of two sets of power electronic devices with their both ends connected to a capacitor to form a DC bus and their mid-point connected to the common reference point through an inductor and a current sensor. The disclosed converter has one or more power electronic conversion leg that consists of two sets of power electronic devices with the positive end connected to the positive rail of the DC bus and the negative end connected either to the common reference point N, in which case the power electronic conversion leg is denoted the A-type, or to the negative rail of the DC bus, in which case the power electronic conversion leg is denoted the B-type. For each present A-type or B-type power electronic conversion leg, its mid-point is connected to one terminal of the corresponding input/output port, together with a current sensor connected between the common reference point and the other terminal of the corresponding input/output port. The disclosed converter also has a capacitor connected to the positive rail of the DC bus and the common reference point through a current sensor. A storage system and/or a load can be connected in parallel with or in place of this capacitor. The disclosed converter can be used for DC/DC, AC/DC, DC/AC, and AC/AC conversion.

    摘要: A ratio metric (RM) approach to providing the current sensing function of service currents to smart metering applications results in an RM current sensor assembly and RM differential current sensor assembly that can replace prior art sensors currently used for this purpose, with substantial reduction in cost of operation and size. The current sensor assemblies leverage current dividers having estimated current ratios, with any error being calibrated out of the sensor assembly by various approaches, such as requiring a single parametric adjustment of a burden resistor value to establish an expected output magnitude for a known current input magnitude to a requisite degree of accuracy. Calibration profiles for the entire service current range can be generated and used with the current sensor assemblies. Multiple RM current sensor assemblies can be used for segments of the current range to further increase accuracy. Improved and low cost leakage current protection is provided.
