    Abstract: A process for coating a ferrous metal article with aluminum including cleaning the ferrous article, applying to the surface of the ferrous article a flux of about 0.125 to 4% aqueous solution of an organic aromatic carboxylic acid having one carboxyl group and a phenolic hydroxyl group, drying the ferrous article and subsequently applying molten aluminum to the ferrous article. The coating process wherein the acid is salicylic acid or 5-chlorosalicylic acid employed in concentrations of about 1 to 4%. Applying the flux to the ferrous metal article surface by immersion of the article in a flux bath having a temperature of about 100 to 212* F. for a period of about 1 to 2 minutes.

    Abstract: A lamp structure having a sealed enclosure provided with a source of radiant energy. An annular resilient electrically conductive base member adapted to yield upon insertion into an electrical socket. The base member having a peripheral configuration which is substantially symmetrical with respect to its central vertical axis. At least one series of circumferentially spaced openings in the base member. The base member having an upper annular edge and a lower annular edge. At least one of the upper and lower annular edges being secured directly to a portion of the remainder of the lamp structure. An upper electrical insulator element secured to the sealed enclosure. A lower electrical insulator element separating the lower annular edge and a lower lamp contact element. Circuit means connecting the radiant energy source with the lower lamp contact element and the annular base member.

    Abstract: A closure assembly comprising a unitary frangible outer closure member and a liner member disposed within the closure member. The outer closure member having a top panel provided with an annular top panel portion and an inner top panel portion. The inner top panel portion having a recessed integrally formed ring pull tab connected to the annular top panel portion by means of an upwardly and radially outwardly directed connector portion. The integral ring pull tab is disposed radially inwardly of the annular top panel portion and at a level spaced below the plane of the annular top panel portion. The inner and outer edges of the ring pull tab are curled downwardly and transversely inwardly. The liner member has a panel with a diameter at least as great as the inner diameter of the annular top panel portion and it defines an upwardly open recess for receiving the integral ring pull tab. The liner may have a skirt which extends downwardly generally parallel to the skirt of the closure.
