Abstract:
An electronic device comprising a first connector is provided. The first connector is connected to an external device. The first connector includes a first pin and a second pin. The electronic device determines whether the electronic device is electrically connected to the external device according to a voltage level of the first pin. When the electronic device is connected to the external device, the electronic device determines whether to supply power to the external device according to a voltage level of the second pin. A control method thereof is also provided.
Abstract:
A waterproof housing including a frame structure and a waterproof structure is provided. The frame structure includes an opening. The waterproof structure is fixed on the frame structure and covers whole of the external surface and the opening of the frame structure. The waterproof structure includes a plurality of ribs extending toward the opening correspondingly and located in the opening. An electronic device is further provided including the waterproof housing and a keyboard module. The keyboard module includes a plurality of keys. The keyboard module is disposed under the waterproof housing and passes into the opening from an underside of the frame structure. The waterproof structure covers the keyboard module disposed in the opening and is fixed between the keys via the ribs. Therefore, the electronic device and the waterproof housing thereof have an improved water-proof function and are convenient in use.
Abstract:
An image display system and an image data capture device are disclosed. The image data capture device includes a connector, a controller, and a storage device. The connector is connected to an image data transfer path of a display and receives the image data transferred on the image data transfer path directly. The controller encodes or decodes the image data and generates processed image data. The storage device stores the processed image data.
Abstract:
A stylus includes a body portion, a flexible portion, and a tip. The flexible portion includes a proximal end connected to an end of the body portion, and a plurality of elastic parts radially connected from a distal end of the flexible portion. Each of the elastic parts is spaced apart. The tip is disposed on the distal end of the flexible portion.
Abstract:
A charging method of a portable electronic device, adapted to charge a battery module of a portable electronic device, the charging method comprising detecting a battery voltage and a charging current of the battery module; determining whether the portable electronic device operates at a constant current mode according to the battery voltage; entering an over voltage protection charging loop while the portable electronic device operates at the constant current mode and allows the battery module to be charged up at a maximum charging voltage, and leaving the over voltage protection charging loop while the charging current is smaller than a predetermined current, wherein the maximum charging voltage is gradually decreased according to a comparison result between the battery voltage and an overcharging protection voltage; and setting the maximum charging voltage as a full charge voltage while leaving the over voltage protection charging loop.
Abstract:
A motherboard with dual memory slot is disclosed. The motherboard includes multiple first memory slots, multiple second memory slots, a storage unit, and a CPU. The first and second memory slots are used for connecting with memory modules of different specifications. A storage unit stores BIOS which identifies the specification of the memory module in booting, and the identification result is provided to the CPU. Consequently, the memory controller in the CPU controls the reading and writing to the memory module according the determining result of the BIOS. As a result, a single motherboard supports memory modules of different specifications, and the flexibility of using the memory modules is improved.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device and a touch operation method thereof are provided. When the portable electronic device is at an image capturing mode, a touch event on a touch screen is detected. Next, a shooting countdown time is determined according to a location of an end point of the touch event on a predetermined path. When no touch event is detected on the touch screen, executing the counting of the shooting countdown time, and an image capturing unit is triggered to capture an image when the counting of the shooting countdown time is up. The user directly enables a timed shooting function and sets a shooting countdown time at the same time by dragging a shutter button, which provides the convenience while operation.
Abstract:
A battery module with a battery housing includes a first conducting layer, at least one battery cell, a second conducting layer, an insulating layer, and a detecting circuit. The first conducting layer is disposed inside the battery housing. The battery cell is disposed inside the battery housing and opposite to the first conducting layer. The second conducting layer is disposed on the battery cell. The insulating layer is disposed between the first conducting layer and the second conducting layer. The first conducting layer, the second conducting layer, and the insulating layer form an internal capacitor. The detecting circuit is electrically connected with the first conducting layer and the second conducting layer for detecting a capacitance value of the internal capacitor.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed for handling prohibit timer for SR in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes triggering a BSR due to a first UL data becoming available in the UE. The method also includes starting a timer associated with the BSR. The method further includes stopping the timer if a specific event relevant to an arrival of a UL grant occurs.
Abstract:
A touch screen operating method and an electronic device are provided. In the method, a touch operation gesture at a touch screen is detected, and the touch screen displays at least a portion of a plurality of data items in a data page. The data items are slid according to the touch operation gesture. When the data items are slid to an edge of the data page, they are stacked.
