Abstract: A transmitting method includes: receiving a dimming ratio which is specified for a light source as a specified dimming ratio (S551); transmitting a signal encoded in a first mode by changing luminance while causing the light source to emit light at the specified dimming ratio when the specified dimming ratio is less than or equal to a first value; and transmitting the signal encoded in a second mode by changing the luminance while causing the light source to emit light at the specified dimming ratio when the specified dimming ratio is greater than the first value (S552). Here, a peak current value of the light source when the specified dimming ratio is greater than the first value and less than or equal to a second value is less than the peak current value of the light source when the specified dimming ratio is the first value.

Abstract: An electronic voting system includes a terminal, authentication servers, and voting servers. Each authentication server includes an authentication processor that authenticates a voter using authentication data, and a first synchronizer that synchronizes a first blockchain including first transaction data with at least one other authentication server. The authentication data including a first identifier and authentication information. Each voting server includes a voting processor that receives voting data including a second identifier and voting information, and a second synchronizer that synchronizes a second blockchain including the voting information as second transaction data with at least one other voting server. Each voting server further includes a block generator that connects a block including the second transaction data to the second blockchain, and a determiner that determines the block to include the second transaction data. The terminal transmits the authentication data to at least one other authentication server and transmits the voting data to one of the voting servers after authentication.

Abstract: A method for predicting an arousal level used by a computer of an arousal level prediction apparatus that predicts an arousal level of a user is provided. The method includes obtaining current biological information regarding the user detected by a sensor, and calculating a current arousal level of the user based on the current biological information. The method further includes obtaining current environment information indicating a current environment around the user, and predicting a future arousal level, which is an arousal level a certain period of time later, based on the current arousal level and the current environment information. Based on the predicted future arousal level, the method further issues a notification to the user, or controls an operation of a device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a Discontinuous Reception, DRX, function at a user equipment. The UE is configured with at least one licensed cell and at least one unlicensed cell and operates the DRX function. The UE receives, from a radio base station, a DRX-active instruction to be in DRX Active Time at least on the unlicensed cell until receiving the next downlink control information related to a downlink data transmission to be received via the unlicensed cell. Correspondingly, in response to the received DRX-active instruction, the UE is in DRX Active Time at least on the unlicensed cell, comprising continuously monitoring a downlink control channel for downlink control information.

Abstract: A playback method and a playback device for playing a system stream file are provided. The playback method uses the playback device having one or more memories and circuitry to play the system stream file. The playback method includes reading the system stream file and identifying whether the system stream file to be played back is a first system stream file having a first file format or a second system stream file having a second file format. If the system stream file to be played back is the first system stream file, the method further includes converting a file format of the system stream file that has been read out from the first file format into the second file format. The playback method further includes decoding the system stream file having the second file format.

The smart phone is set on a cart in a state that the face camera is directed to a ceiling of the facility on which the ceiling light is attached, and the face camera is a CMOS sensor and the CMOS sensor is used only for the visible light communication.
