摘要: A highly concentrated silver salt suspension and tin salt suspension from which a silver and tin oxide powder can be made under utilization of the reaction spray method is made by adding in small steps a tin II salt solution into a small volume of concentrated nitric acid while maintaining a temperature below 40 degrees C. to obtain an injection suspension of a tin II salt solution, the injection suspension is then mixed with about a three fold quantity (volume) of concentrated 65% nitric acid, the latter mixture is then added in small steps to a watery citrate solution and combined with tin granules until all tin granules are dissolved and changed into a tin IV oxide hydrate suspension; the completed tin IV oxide hydrate suspension as per the preceding step is mixed with a watery silver nitrate solution.

摘要: An infrared detector includes a vacuum tube containing a photo sensitive layer comprised of densely packed needles arranged vertically on a substrate and having been grown as metal whiskers in a porous portion of the substrate. The substrate includes a metallic layer either in contact with or insulated from the needles depending upon the mode of the detecting system. The needles may face the incoming radiation, or may face away therefrom, in which case at least part of the substrate has to be transparent to infrared radiation. The radiation is either acquired directly or through an infrared optic or through a raster or line-scanning system. Photo emission from the needles can be used either directly for the production of an image or indirectly through a scanning process. The diameter and distance of the needles is significantly smaller than the radiation band to be detected.

摘要: An apparatus for comminuting concretions in bodies of living beings with a focusing chamber forming part of an ellipsoid of revolution wherein shock waves can be generated by spark discharge at one of the foci, the body being prone in a tub filled with a liquid, where(a) the focusing chamber is sealed by a high-strength membrane,(b) the focusing chamber is filled with an extensively degassed liquid,(c) the liquid is under increased pressure, and(d) the liquid is made to circulate, the liquid being evacuated at a location of the focusing chamber as high as possible, and a liquid free of gas bubbles being replenished into the focusing chamber.
