摘要: RFID tags and chips for RFID tags are capable of complying with only a limited number of remaining commands, and methods. In a number of embodiments, a counter is adjusted in association with receiving a command and complying with it. The tag complies until the counter reaches a limit, and then it can stop complying. Non-compliance can be by the tag becoming quiet, or performing other activities, or performing nothing at all, or performing only selected activities, and so on. In some embodiments non-compliance is permanent, while in others it is temporary and/or restorable.

摘要: A magnetic mounting object holder includes a magnet, a base, a pivotal mounting plate, and a removable attachment surface. One end of the base is attached to a top of the magnet. The other end of the base is pivotally attached to the other end of the pivotal mounting plate. The removable attachment surface is attached to a top of the pivotal mounting plate. The magnetic hook includes a magnet, hook, and a fastener. The hook is attached to the magnet with the fastener. The hook preferably has two positions. In a first position, an item may be placed on or removed from the hook. In a second position, the magnet must be removed from a mounting surface to place or remove an item from the hook.

摘要: Adjustable live or dead center apparatus adapted for use in rotatably supporting a workpiece to be turned during lathe operations and further adapted for accurate correction of lathe center and/or piece part misalignment which is likely to occur with respect to a mounted workpiece having its surfaces eccentric relative to the centers thereof. The center apparatus employs a center arrangement or assembly including a nose portion which is mounted for limited movement transversely of the longitudinal axis of a lathe spindle. A plurality of selectively operable adjustment means are utilized which, when operated, are effective to alter the position of the nose portion of the center arrangement with respect to the longitudinal axis of said spindle.

摘要: A tissue dissector is provided. The tissue dissector includes a cannula and an introducer coaxially coupled to the cannula and movable therein from a retracted position to an extended position. An introducer is coaxially coupleable to the cannula and movable therein from a retracted position to an extended position. The introducer including a generally annular lumen disposed in fluid communication with an inflation port operably disposed on the introducer and in fluid communication with an inflatable balloon that couples to the introducer. The inflatable balloon is movable from a deflated condition for positioning the introducer adjacent target tissue, to an inflated condition for separating the target tissue from nearby tissue and for providing a barrier therebetween such that the nearby tissue is not affected during the electrosurgical procedure.

摘要: According to some embodiments, techniques are described herein to assist a publisher to create fixed layout pages of an electronic publication. The techniques are useful for creating cookbooks, travel books, photography books, children's books, other “illustrated books”, or any other electronic publication where a fixed layout for at least some of the pages of the electronic publication is desirable. With the techniques, the publisher may embed fonts, select particular fonts and font sizes, assign visual content to fixed layout pages, and precisely position visual content at fixed positions on fixed layout pages. A scaling mechanism for an electronic reader device is also disclosed for scaling fixed layout pages to fit the size of a display screen of the reader device while maintaining the aspect ratio and assignment of visual content to fixed layout pages specified by the publisher.

摘要: A method for implementing a microwave ablation waveguide, that includes selecting a lumen adapted to convey a fluid and formed from living biological tissue, introducing an elongate inner conductor into the lumen, positioning at least a portion of the elongate inner conductor within the lumen such that a longitudinal axis of the elongate inner conductor is positioned substantially parallel to and at a desired distance from a longitudinal axis of the lumen and proximate an anatomical feature of interest, and transferring microwave energy along the elongate inner conductor such that the lumen shields the inner conductor and allows a pre-determined amount of microwave energy to propagate through the anatomical feature of interest.
