    摘要: A key assembly which includes a key shank having a forward portion and a handle portion having an aperture. A shuttle is also included. The shuttle includes first and second substantially planar portions and a center portion connected to the substantially planar portions. A transponder recess is located on the shuttle. The shuttle is configured and dimensioned to mate with the aperture on the handle portion of the key shank. After mating with the aperture, the shuttle rotates within the aperture. After mating with and rotating within the aperture, the shuttle is securely retained within the aperture. A transponder is located within the transponder recess. The transponder receives a wireless interrogation signal and transmitting a wireless response signal in response to the interrogation signal. A key head is formed about the shuttle, transponder, and handle portion of the key shank.

    摘要: An addressing system and method are provided for reducing or eliminating an amount of input from an individual into a data communications device to facilitate data transfer. The addressing system facilitates data communications between a number of user devices linked to a data communications network. The addressing system includes a number of globally unique identifiers, each of the globally unique identifiers being associated with a respective one of the user devices linked to the data communications network. The addressing system also includes a number of user names, each of the user names is associated with one of the user devices, the user names being subject to change. A correlation table stored in a central service device that is in data communication with the user devices. The correlation table links each of the user names to a corresponding one of the globally unique identifiers. The central service device employs the globally unique identifiers to search a user database for a number of linking parameters to establish a data transfer between at least two of the user devices in an automated fashion.

    摘要: The invention provides a system for and method of precalibrating the position of the focal spot of an X-ray tube before its installation in a CT scanner system so that the focal spot of the tube is properly aligned with the off-focal aperture, slice-defining aperture and detectors of the scanner system. The precalibration is performed using an interface registration support that receives the X-ray tube and supports the X-ray tube on a mount provided in either the precalibration system or the scanner system. The mount of the precalibration system duplicates the mount of the scanner system, so that desired position of the focal spot in the scanner system relative to the scanner system mount is duplicated in the precalibration system relative to the precalibration system mount. Adjustments in the position of the focal spot are carried out by measuring any displacement of the focal spot of the X-ray tube relative to an interface registration support which is referenced to the desired position of the focal spot by registering the registration support to the mount of the precalibration system. The as-adjusted X-ray tube and its interface registration support can then be installed in the CT scanner without the need for subsequent calibration adjustments. Additional testing of the X-ray tube can also be provided.

    摘要: Preassembled detector modules, each containing several detectors, and preassembled anti-scatter modules, each containing several anti-scatter plates, are mounted on a spine, which is attached to the rotating gantry of a CAT scanner by adjustable end supports. A pair of dowel pins in accurately drilled reference holes in the spine control the location and alignment of each module, one in a module round hole and one in a module slot. Critical dimensions in the modules are referenced to the hole, the slot, and reference surfaces on the modules contact the spine so as to reduce tolerance build-up. As such the modules can be easily manufactured using standard machine tools, and easily assembled and secured to a rotatable disk of a tomographic system.
