Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing of signals in a point-to-multipoint (P2MP) network are provided. The processing includes obtaining link conditions, in a spectrum comprising multiple OFDM subcarriers, of a plurality of users at respective user nodes that are in communication with a central node of the network. The processing further includes inputting the link conditions to an entropy loading (EL) algorithm, thereby to determine a modulation format for each of the OFDM subcarriers; optimizing an allocation of OFDM subcarriers to users according to an OFDMA scheme; and for each user, loading data from a bitstream onto the allocated OFDM subcarriers in the respective determined modulation formats.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for dynamic target cell selection for application of RAN optimization are provided. One method includes receiving a request, from one or more radio access network optimization services, that comprises a list of attributes corresponding to characteristics of a cell and a cell selection criterion for each of the attributes, receiving, from one or more radio access network cells, a data stream comprising metrics for at least one of the cell or users in the cell. The method may also include generating, based on the received request and the metrics, a list of zero or more cells that meet the selection criterion for one of the radio access network optimization services or for a group of the radio access network optimization services, and sending, to a respective one of said one or more radio access network optimization services, the generated list of said zero or more cells that meets the selection criterion for the respective one or more radio access network optimization services.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for compensating incoming signals in a receiver of an optical fiber communication system for degradation due to nonlinear optical effects in the transmission channel. Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to cell selection in a multiple frequencies communication network. A network device receives, from terminal devices, signal reception quality measurements for a set of cells at serving frequencies of the network device. Abstract: A first router determines a designated router (DR) from a set of routers that are interconnected by a network based on a border gateway protocol (BGP). The set includes the first router. In response to the first router being the DR, the first router forms adjacencies with non-DR routers from the set and distributes reachability advertisements from the set of routers to the non-DR routers in the set. In response to the first router not being the DR, the first router forms an adjacency with the DR. The first router then conveys reachability advertisements to the DR and receives reachability advertisements from the routers in the set via the DR. The DR is determined based on receiving information at the first router indicating an identity of the DR, e.g., configuration information received from a controller, or by electing a DR based on priority values assigned to the routers and advertised in messages transmitted by the routers.
