Abstract: It is provided a method, comprising estimating a potential performance based on information received from a terminal, wherein the information comprises at least an indication that the terminal is served by a first cell, and the potential performance indicates a performance of an apparatus performing the method to be expected if the apparatus were served by the first cell; checking if the potential performance is preferred over an actual performance of the method; providing, to a second cell serving the apparatus, a trigger for a handover to the first cell if the potential performance is preferred over the actual performance.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods in a communication system are provided. A method comprises receiving from network instructions of how to control multi-user multiple input multiple output connections maintained by one or more radio access nodes, the connections utilising one or more slices. One or more radio access nodes perform, based at least in part on the received network instructions, multi-user pairing of terminal devices of the same or different slices, and determine, based at least in part on the received network instructions, slice-based quota taking multi-user pairing and interference arising from paired allocations into account.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for dynamic target cell selection for application of RAN optimization are provided. One method includes receiving a request, from one or more radio access network optimization services, that comprises a list of attributes corresponding to characteristics of a cell and a cell selection criterion for each of the attributes, receiving, from one or more radio access network cells, a data stream comprising metrics for at least one of the cell or users in the cell. The method may also include generating, based on the received request and the metrics, a list of zero or more cells that meet the selection criterion for one of the radio access network optimization services or for a group of the radio access network optimization services, and sending, to a respective one of said one or more radio access network optimization services, the generated list of said zero or more cells that meets the selection criterion for the respective one or more radio access network optimization services.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating and/or predicting mobility metric(s) for RAN optimization. One method includes receiving a request, from at least one RAN optimization service, to provide an estimate or prediction of a mobility metric for at least one UE or group of UEs or at least one cell. The request may include attributes describing characteristics of the mobility metric. The method may then include communicating with a RAN node to request data about the at least one UE or the group of UEs or the at least one cell associated with the request, receiving the requested data, and calculating the estimate or the prediction of the mobility metric using the requested data and based on the attributes received in the request from the at least one RAN optimization service.
