Abstract:
There is provided a thin transformer capable of being used in a thin display device such as a liquid crystal display (LCD) device and a light emitting diode (LED) display device. The transformer includes: a bobbin part including a plurality of bobbins, each including a pipe shaped body part having a though-hole formed in an inner portion thereof, a flange part vertically protruding outwardly from both ends of the body part, and external connection terminals protruding from one side of a lower flange part formed at a lower end of the body part; a core inserted into the through-hole of the bobbin to thereby form a magnetic path; and a coil part including coils each wound around the plurality of bobbins, wherein the bobbin part includes an inner bobbin and an outer bobbin, and the inner bobbin is coupled to the outer bobbin such that the external connection terminals of the inner bobbin and the external connection terminals of the outer bobbin are opposed to each other.
Abstract:
A large capacity memory module mounting device employed in a portable terminal is provided, including a large capacity memory module including a plurality of first contact pads; and a flexible circuit board including a plurality of second contact pads and electrically connected to the large capacity memory module by forming solder pads in a heating process after the first and second contact pads are positioned in a face-to-face manner. Accordingly, the large capacity memory module can be advantageously mounted to the portable terminal and an electromagnetic field can be effectively shielded.
Abstract:
Energy consumption data of a building and temperature data outside the building collected over a period of time are correlated and segmented into a plurality of segments including at least a heating consumption segment, a cooling segment, and temperature-insensitive segment. An energy efficiency coefficient for heating from the heating consumption segment, an energy efficiency coefficient for cooling from the cooling consumption segment, an energy efficiency coefficient for other energy consuming activities from the temperature insensitive segment are determined, and scaled. The energy efficiency coefficient for heating, the energy efficiency coefficient for cooling and the energy efficiency coefficient for other energy consuming activities are used to assess energy efficiency among one or more buildings, forecast future consumption of energy in the building based on forecasted temperature and simulate impact of hypothetical temperature and hypothetical energy efficiency on energy consumption in the building.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel genomic RNA of Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) and an infectious JEV cDNA therefrom. Particularly, the present invention relates to a full-length genomic RNA of JEV represented by SEQ. ID. No 15 and an infectious JEV cDNA therefrom. JEV genomic RNA and infectious JEV cDNA of the present invention can be used not only for the identification of the JEV genes, but also for the molecular biological studies including JEV replication, transcription, and translation. Moreover, they can also be applied to the development of the therapeutic agents, vaccines, diagnostic reagents, and diagnostic devices for Japanese encephalitis, and can be used as an expression vector for the various foreign genes.
Abstract:
A plurality of masters arbitrate for access to a shared memory device, such as a SDRAM (synchronous dynamic random access memory), amongst themselves using software and arbitration interfaces. The masters generate additional commands upon arbitration, such as MRS and PALL commands, for prevention of collision of commands, refresh starvation, and/or a missing pre-charge operation in the shared memory device.
Abstract:
Provided is a high-speed and ultra-low-power-consumption nonvolatile memory having a high temperature stability at a zero magnetic field. In a tunnel magnetoresistive film constituting a nonvolatile magnetic memory that employs a writing method using a spin-transfer torque, an insulating layer and a nonmagnetic conductive layer are stacked above a ferromagnetic free layer.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for allowing a user to dynamically enjoy a video. A difference between image data is computed at every preset unit of time and a vibration corresponding to the computed difference is generated so that the user can sense a motion change of an object within the video. Upon video reproduction, scenes are displayed by applying the lighting effect of a strobe light or the like between the scenes to be reproduced. Upon video reproduction, more enjoyment and various haptic effects can be provided to the user.
Abstract:
A semiconductor memory device in which a mode of a memory bank may be independently selected and a method of controlling the semiconductor memory device may be provided. The semiconductor memory device with a plurality of banks may include a plurality of bank groups that each may have at least one bank from among the plurality of banks, and a memory controller that may control a read/write operation to be performed on a bank belonging to a bank group from among the plurality of bank groups, in response to a control signal, where different modes or the same mode may be applied to the bank groups. Accordingly, different modes or the same mode may be applied to the banks so that the read/write operation may be performed on a bank having a mode that is advantageous to the type of data, thereby minimizing consumption of power and a time delay.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and system estimating the likelihood of employees not being available for work as a result of pandemic occurrence and effectiveness of related mitigation actions. The invention allows users to assess the impact of pandemic on availability of corporate workforce and to estimate the effectiveness of various corporate mitigation actions in terms of how such actions may reduce the adverse effects of a pandemic on employee availability by incorporating information on infection rate, perception, needs for family care and infrastructure availability into a system of algebraic and differential equations.
Abstract:
Provided are a cyber shopping mall management apparatus, and a system and method for managing a cyber shopping mall using the apparatus that can reduce a return rate of a purchased wear item. The cyber shopping mall management method includes adjusting a size of an image of a wear item to be purchased to fit a size of an image of an object to wear the wear item, synthesizing the adjusted wear item image onto the object image, and transmitting the synthesized image to a buyer. Thus, the cyber shopping mall management system and method enable a buyer to indirectly examine whether a wear item to be purchased can fit an object through an image of the object wearing the desired wear item, thus reducing a return rate of purchased wear items.
