摘要: An ultrasonic, flow measuring device having a plurality of measuring channels. At least one ultrasonic sensor is situated in a first region of a pipeline, or measuring tube; at least two ultrasonic sensors are situated in a second region of the pipeline (5), or measuring tube, in such a manner that the ultrasonic measuring signals travel through the pipeline, or measuring tube, in, or opposite to, a stream direction of the medium, on sound paths of different lengths. A transmitting stage simultaneously excites the ultrasonic sensor, or the ultrasonic sensors, of the first or second region for transmitting the ultrasonic measuring signals. Due to the different lengths of the sound paths, the receiving stage detects the ultrasonic measuring signals incoming to the ultrasonic sensors of the second or first region at separate times. The evaluating stage ascertains, on the basis of travel-time difference of the ultrasonic measuring signals on the individual sound paths, in, and opposite to, the stream direction, volume- and/or mass-flow of the medium in the pipeline, or measuring tube.

摘要: A device for determining and/or monitoring volume and/or mass flow rate of a medium that flows in a direction of flow through a pipeline/measuring tube of inner diameter. The device comprises at least two ultrasonic transducers that emit and/or receive ultrasonic measuring signals along defined sonic paths and a control/evaluation device which determines the volume flow rate and/or the mass flow rate of the medium to be measured inside said pipeline/measuring tube based on the ultrasonic measuring signals according to the travel-time difference principle. In order to provide a multichannel ultrasonic flowmeter, at least one reflector element is placed in the interior of the pipeline/measuring tube. The reflector element has a defined distance from the inner surface of the pipeline/measuring tube and is placed within the sonic path of the ultrasound measuring signals running through the pipeline/measuring tube.

摘要: The invention relates to an electomagnetic frictionally engaged clutch (1) provided with a rotor part (4) comprising a friction lining (2). An electrical coil (6) and a first permanent magnet (14) are arranged on the rotor part (4). Said clutch also comprises an armature disk (10) which is connected to a second shaft (9) and can be displaced in a rotationally fixed manner, but axially from a coupled end position to an uncoupled end position. The aim of the invention is to enahle the coil (6) of the clutch (1) to be current-free both in the coupled state and in the uncoupled state. To this end, means (15; 20) are provided for exerting an axial force opposing the magnetic force of the first permanent magnet (14) on the armature disk (10). The first permanent magnet (14) and the means (15; 20) are selected in such a way that the resulting force exerted on the armature disk by the permanent magnets and the means presses the armature disk (10) against the friction lining (2) of the rotor part (4) when a current is not passing through the coil (6), when the armature disk (10) is in the coupled end position thereof and when the armature disk (10) presses against an abutment (19) at an axial distance from the friction lining (2) of the rotor part (4) when it is in the uncoupled end position thereof. The electrical coil (6) can be supplied with a coil in such a way that the magnetic field thus produced

摘要: A perpendicular magnetic recording medium has an “exchange-spring” type magnetic recording layer (RL) formed of two ferromagnetic layers with substantially similar anisotropy fields that are ferromagnetically exchange-coupled by a nonmagnetic or weakly ferromagnetic coupling layer. Because the write head produces a larger magnetic field and larger field gradient at the upper portion of the RL, while the field strength decreases further inside the RL, the upper ferromagnetic layer can have a high anisotropy field. The high field and field gradient near the top of the RL, where the upper ferromagnetic layer is located, reverses the magnetization of the upper ferromagnetic layer, which then assists in the magnetization reversal of the lower ferromagnetic layer. Because both ferromagnetic layers in this exchange-spring type RL have a high anisotropy field, the thermal stability of the medium is not compromised. The medium shows improved writability, i.e., a low switching field, as well as lower intrinsic media noise, over a medium with a conventional single-layer RL.

摘要: In the method, a tool is tested for an aligning fit or an imbalance in a tool spindle. The tool spindle is set into rotation. A light beam is used to check whether the tool wobbles. The tool spindle and the light beam are moved relative to one another until the light beam impinges on the area covered by the wobbling movement and a received signal generated from the light beam has an intermittent signal path for the first time. The then prevailing relative position between the tool spindle and the light beam is evaluated in respect of a non-aligning fit of the tool or in respect of a tool imbalance.

摘要: An arrangement for locking the steering shaft of a motor vehicle, includes a blocking device and a toothed ring which is arranged on the steering shaft and in which a blocking element, which is arranged so that it can be displaced from an unlocked position into a locked position, of the blocking device engages. To allow the blocking device to be attached to the steering device of the vehicle in question and exchanged in a simple manner and to ensure that the blocking device cannot be removed in the locked state of the blocking element, the blocking device, which is provided with a housing, is releasably connected to a flange, which is attached to the steering device, via an adapter part. The flange has a recess which is designed in such a manner that the adapter part, for fitting of the blocking device, can be inserted in a partial area of the recess and can then be displaced along a guide into its limit position. Moreover, transverse webs are arranged between the teeth of the toothed ring, which webs, in the locked position of the blocking element, prevent axial displacement of the adapter part along the recess in the flange to the partial area.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing UV polarizers, according to which spheroid particles situated near the surface of the glass are incorporated into the support material (primarily standard float glass) in a novel arrangement. According to the method for producing UV polarizers, after the introduction of metal ions (e.g., silver ions) into the glass surface, a large size distribution of particles is achieved by multiple alternation of a heat treatment for separating out spherical metal particles, followed by the renewed introduction of metal ions and a subsequent heat treatment. A deformation of the glass produces spheroid particles of various sizes and different semi-axis relationships. The particles are characterized by their large size distribution and are deformed differently in relation to their spheroid shape. In this way UV polarizers are produced which have a wide absorption range since the absorption bands having different maximum positions overlap.

摘要: A safety device for a moving system with a drive in which a pneumatically operated piston, by linear movement in a cylinder, moves a transported object past a stationary part in at least one direction has the aim of generating a switching signal at every point of a through-opening when an obstacle is located between the moving object and the edge of the through-opening, regardless of the movement direction of the object and the geometrical construction of the through-opening. The cylinder has, at its ends, devices for measuring the pressure of the air flowing out of the cylinder in the movement direction of the piston, wherein a drop in the otherwise substantially constant pressure below a threshold value serves as a switching signal at least for switching off the system. The device is useful for safety purposes during the transport of objects, particularly when the objects form shearing edges with neighboring objects.
