The telecommunication system comprises at least one radio network controlling component and one or more base station components operable to implement an uplink scheduling scheme in relation to one or more user terminals. A method embodiment comprises the steps of receiving, by one of the base station components from the at least one radio network controlling component, at least one interference control parameter, of generating one or more scheduling grants taking into account the at least one interference control parameter, and of issuing the one or more scheduling grants to one or more user terminals.

    摘要: A method of managing a data packet queue in a buffer associated with the radio layers of a wireless network, the buffer storing packets prior to their transmission over the radio interface. The method comprises defining minimum and maximum threshold levels for the packet queue, and for a data packet received by the buffer 1) performing a congestion avoidance procedure if the buffer queue exceeds said maximum threshold level, or 2) not performing said procedure if the buffer queue is less than said minimum threshold level, or 3) if the buffer queue lies between said maximum and minimum thresholds, performing said congestion avoidance procedure for said packet, and not performing the procedure for at least one or more subsequent packets.

    摘要: The teachings presented herein enable a user terminal to perform a fast recovery from a radio link failure. In one aspect, the improvement in recovery time is achieved by commanding or otherwise causing the user terminal to perform radio link failure (RLF) recovery at a cell that is known to possess the user context, while considering that this cell should yield good radio conditions (if not the best) to the user terminal. A cell may be predefined for use by the user terminal in recovering its radio connection. Based on providing signal strength thresholds to the user terminal, for use in determining whether to use a predefined cell for reconnecting to the network, the user terminal attempts RLF recovery first in the predefined cell. By providing user context to the predefined cell in advance of a recovery attempt by the user terminal, the time for recovery is lessened. Note that the user terminal also may infer which cells are preferred.

    摘要: In a method and device the TCP load offered in the uplink is manipulated such that an offered load asymmetry is achieved. Using such an arrangement it is possible to compensate for a link asymmetry when uplink and downlink connections are sharing the same uplink buffer in order to increase performance of the downlink. The method and device are capable of increasing the download performance both in the case when TCP connections are terminated in a different device than the terminal where the link layer is terminated, as well as when the TCP connections are terminated in the same device as the link-layer.

    摘要: A method of scheduling data for transmission over the air interface of a wideband code division multiple access network, said data being transported over the air interface on a downlink shared channel. The method comprises receiving data in the form of IP packets at a radio network controller, segmenting said IP packets into protocol data units, and forwarding said protocol data units from the radio network controller to a radio base station serving one or more user terminals. The radio network controller identifies to the radio base station the protocol data units belonging to a common IP packet. At the radio base station, each protocol data unit is scheduled for transmission over the air interface in dependence upon the IP packet to which it belongs.
