    Abstract: An image capture device detects a wind whistle using two or more microphones. The image capture device includes a processor that obtains microphone signals from the two or more microphones and measures coherence values between the microphone signals across a frequency band. The frequency band includes frequency bins, and the processor measures a coherence value for each frequency bin. Based on a detection of an elevated coherence value in a frequency bin, the processor determines the presence of a whistle. The processor attenuates the frequency bin based on a determination that the elevated coherence value is above a threshold.

    Abstract: An image capture device with dynamic wind noise compression tuning techniques is described. A technique includes detecting of the presence of wind noise by measuring coherence between at least two microphones. For a compressor, adjusting a default compression threshold and default compression parameters based on the coherence measurements. For each microphone, applying by the compressor the adjusted compression parameters when an audio signal is above the adjusted compression threshold and applying the default compression parameters when the audio signal is below the adjusted compression threshold.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing a plurality of audio signals. A device receives the plurality of audio signals in the frequency domain and determining an overall attenuation multiplier based on the plurality of audio signals and an overall lookup table that relates decibel values to different overall attenuation multipliers. The device determines an attenuation vector comprising a plurality of bin-specific attenuation multipliers, each bin-specific attenuation multiplier respectively corresponding to a different frequency bin of the plurality of frequency bins. The device scales each bin-specific attenuation value in the attenuation vector with the overall attenuation multiplier, and edits each of the audio signals based on the scaled bin-specific attenuation values in the attenuation vector.

The image capture device includes a front facing microphone configured to capture an audio signal. The front facing microphone co-located with at least one optical component. The image capture device further includes at least one non-front facing microphone configured to capture an audio signal. The image capture device further includes a processor configured to generate a forward facing beam using the audio signal captured by the front facing microphone and the audio signal captured by the at least one non-front facing microphone, generate an omni beam using the audio signal captured by the at least one non-front facing microphone, and output an audio signal based on the forward facing beam and the omni beam.

    Abstract: A camera, having: microphones including: a first microphone; and a second microphone. The camera including a sensor controller. The sensor controller being configured to receive audio, select between the microphones, and record the audio. The sensor controller receives the audio inputs from the first microphone and the second microphone. The sensor controller selects the first microphone or the second microphone based on the audio inputs so that one of the first and second microphones is a selected microphone, wherein the selected microphone receives the audio input having the lowest level of background noise within a predetermined frequency range associated with background noise. The sensor controller records audio data from only the selected microphone.
