摘要: A link includes an arm having first and second recess/apertures, receiving first and second bearings, respectively. The bearings are attachable to structures, allowing movement of one structure independently of the other. The recess/aperture has an inward facing surface, and the bearing has an outward facing surface, the inward and outward facing surfaces being substantially arcuate. An isolator includes a base and shell connected to but extending from the base. The shell has an aperture opposite the base. A support structure has one end in the shell. The connecting arm has a component thereon outside the shell whereby the connecting arm connects to a structure. Links are pivotally connected at one end to the shell and pivotally connected at the other end to the connecting arm. The connection between each link and the connecting arm is closer to the base than the connection between each link and the shell.

The size of the enclosure may be minimized by using available space in the closure to serve as part of the bass chamber volume for the subwoofer.

摘要: A headphone includes an electro-acoustic transducer dividing an enclosed volume into a front volume and a rear volume, a first port in the housing coupling the front volume to an ear canal of a user, a second port in the housing coupling the front volume to space outside the ear, a third port in the housing coupling the rear volume to space outside the ear, and an ear tip configured to surround the first port and including a flap to seal the ear canal from space outside the ear. The second port has a diameter and a length that provide an acoustic mass with an acoustic impedance with a high reactive component and a low resistive component, reducing the occlusion effect that otherwise results from sealing the ear.

摘要: A sensor assembly includes a housing having an external-device interface and a sound port to an interior to the housing. A transducer and an electrical circuit are disposed within the housing. The transducer is acoustically coupled to the sound port while the electrical circuit is electrically coupled to the transducer and the external-device interface. A cavity is formed in a portion of the sensor assembly. In some embodiments, the portion is a base of the housing of the sensor assembly. In other embodiments, the portion is a sound port adapter coupled to the sensor assembly. In any case, the cavity is acoustically coupled to the interior of the housing via the sound port and includes a wall portion structured to modify an acoustic property of the sensor assembly.

摘要: A method and apparatus are described for providing an acoustically-resistive air-permeable venting structure within a sealed microphone acoustic cavity. A microphone is mounted on a printed circuit board and positioned within a housing. A water-resistant membrane seals the microphone from an exterior of the housing, and a active acoustic cavity establishes an acoustical connection between the water-resistant membrane and the microphone. An acoustically-resistive air-permeable venting structure is formed in the body of the printed circuit board and connects to the active acoustic cavity either directly or via a separate vent path. The venting structure provides a viscous dampening effect by venting an active acoustic cavity of the electronic device to the rest of the enclosure sealed by the water-resistant membrane.
