Abstract:
A gas conduit directs a flow of gas from a gas flow source. A surface enhanced luminescence (SEL) stage is within the conduit and includes a substrate and nano fingers projecting from the substrate. A heater heats the nano fingers to a temperature so as to soften the nano fingers such that the nano fingers collapse towards each other to capture molecules entrained in the gas therebetween.
Abstract:
A surface enhanced luminescence (SEL) sensor may include a substrate and nano fingers projecting from the substrate. The nano fingers may include a nano finger extending along an axis. The nano finger may include a plasmonically active cap and a pillar supporting the plasmonically active cap. The pillar may have an asymmetric material composition with respect to the axis.
Abstract:
Examples associated with user authentication are described. One example method includes authenticating a user of a device using a static authentication technique. A behavior profile associated with the user is loaded. The behavior profile describes a pattern of device usage behavior by the user in a three-dimensional space over a time slice. The behavior profile also identifies distinctive user habits. Usage of the device is monitored, and a behavior similarity index is periodically updated. The behavior similarity index describes a similarity between the usage of the device and the pattern of device usage behavior. The behavior similarity index is weighted based on the distinctive user habits. Access to the device is restricted when the behavior similarity index reaches a predefined threshold.
Abstract:
A surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) sensor may include a nano structured surface and a nonstoichiometric oxide layer. The nano structured surfers may include a first peak, a second peak and a valley between the first peak and the second peak. The non-stoichiometric oxide layer may include a first portion on the first peak and a second portion on the second peak.
Abstract:
Imaging a package to identify contents associated with the package includes with a camera of a point of sale (POS) system, imaging the package, where an identical identification mark is located on all sides of the package such that when an image of the package is captured, an image of the identification mark appears in the image irrespective of an orientation of the package to the camera and with a database, identifying the contents associated with the package based on the identification mark from the image.
Abstract:
Example implementations relate to authentication using a sequence of images. For example, a computing device may include an input device to receive data from a user and a processor in communication with the input device. The processor provides a request for a private key associated with the user, where the request includes a public key specifying a set of categories each relating to an object. The processor receives, via the input device, the private key in response to the request, where the private key includes a sequence of images based on the public key. The processor authenticates the user when each image in the sequence of images is associated with a particular object previously assigned to the user based on the set of categories.
Abstract:
A forensic verification system extracts a print signature via a print signature extractor from an interior of a halftone contained in an image. The system utilizes a comparator to compare the print signature to a reference signature stored in a registry to determine differences between the print signature and the reference signature. The system utilizes a forensic analyzer to perform a forensic analysis on the signatures based on the comparison to authenticate the image.
Abstract:
One example provides a display device. The display device includes an electronic paper display imageable by receiving charges on an imaging surface of the electronic paper display. The display device includes a first ground electrode opposite to a first portion of the imaging surface of the electronic paper display and a second ground electrode opposite to a second portion of the imaging surface of the electronic paper display. Writing to the second portion of the electronic paper display is selectively disableable.
Abstract:
A composition for the additive manufacture of three-dimensional objects is provided. The composition includes a sinterable frit, a protein binder, and an aqueous-based solvent.
